The daylight had dwindled to a barely perceptible lightening of the gloom. Red rays of sun, tainting the sky the way snow clad field was drenched with blood. Yoongi took a short look around. Bodies after bodies lying on the ground. Thousands had died, yet the King of Moonlight hadn't been seen. Yoongi would have been furious by the cowardice of the King, if he had been capable of feeling. All emotions seemed to drain down a gaping whole. And Yoongi felt as if he was loosing himself all over again. He had cried till his tears had dried and no more left. He had broke down till was not possible for him to heal back. And all he wanted to take to revenge, and end this.
The sword felt heavy in his hand, as he snucked into the fort. Stopping in is steps when he saw shadows of guards in front of him. He lowered his body, covering himself behind the cold ston walls of the corridor.
He knew his friends might be searching for him, and he hoped they didn't wander off into these territories. He had let them where he was going, but he feared that as the war drew to its climax, they might come searching for him. Yoongi was the only one who remembered the entire outline of the fort, having looked for over a lot of times. And he was the only who could get and kill the King. And they didn't have the time to explain the entirety to the rest. Their soldiers, no matter how strong, were growing tired.
He was growing tired. He had suffered enough injured, and had lost enough blood. He didn't know how long he was going to last. But he was pushing himself for the sake of everyone.
The explosives had turned the tide of the war in between, but Endora was holding in strong. But their strenght won't last for long. MoonLight was scared of them. He knew that. He knew that from the way they were recklessly using all the explosives. Not caring if their own med died. And it was sickening him. How could a King stoop down to such levels. And from the war grew, Endora would loose to MoonLight. And he couldn't let that happen. He couldn't let his prince's death be vain. He couldn't let the death of his soldiers be in vain.
He heard footsteps approach his way. Glancing at the shadows, he realized only one guard headed this way. On his way inside, he had to take down nearly fifteen guards. This place was far too heavily guarded.
MoonLight's king had to be in here.
Yoongi readied himself as the shadow came nearer and nearer to him. And just as they passed, he jumped forward. Pressing his hand over the guards mouth, he stabbed his sword right through his back. The guards body falling limp a few seconds after.
Slowly he lowered the body so as to no make any sounds and alert the rest. With light footsteps, he went his way further inside the castle. Keeping alert as he watched for the looming shadows. He had to be careful. There were far too many guards and he couldn't let them know of his presence. Otherwise he would be outnumbered. A hundred to one.
As he crossed another corridor, he stopped near a open door. Hearing laughter from coming inside. He took a short peak inside. Finding around five guards drunk out of their mind as they laughed about something. Yoongi was about to cross the room, when he noticed something else. A cage inside. He stepped back a little, pressing himself closer to the wall. He gasped seeing a few children locked inside. He didn't even want to know the reason behind it. Just the sight of it— the children caged inside, cowering with fear, their eyes snapping towards the guards, each time they laughed too hard— was enough to make Yoongi feel sick to his core.
