It was the next day and the blistering sun wasn't helping Y/n's sun burns as her entire class stood infront of the Museum. Ms. Nomura was simply expressing her love of history while Y/n tried to hold in a scream, Strickler brought her here every weekend and nothing was new, except for how much dust was added on the artifacts.
"I know contemporary media might lead you to believe European history is full of swords, sorcery and scandal. I assure you, the truth is far more interesting, and there's no better place to start than the Renaissance Era poetry." She said, everyone but Eli sighed as Y/n stood there with her arms folded.
"Since we have limited time, Ms. Nomura, perhaps it's best if they explore the museum on their own." Strickler stated, everyone smiled and dashed into the museum. Toby began to talk about the more he walked, the better the prizes he would get which were mainly a T-shirt or a water bottle.
"How much have you lost at the moment?" Y/n said when she noticed Claire walking infront of them. Toby hummed for a moment as he looked at the screen of his phone.
"Around twenty calories." Toby stated and smiled as Y/n shook her head with a smirk. But then she stopped by an exhibit that seemed to closed. Y/n looked around and saw Toby and Jim had left her to herself and the exhibit.
"If they haven't noticed by now that I'm gone, they won't for another minute or two." Y/n said to herself and opened the drape and walked into the dark room. She groaned as she tried to adjust her eyes to know where she was at least close to. "Where's that dang flashlight?" Y/n asked herself and grabbed her phone from her pocket. She turned on the flashlight feature and shown it around the room and saw a book on a stand. Y/n carefully walked to it and saw the cover was written in trollish.
"Why would Ms. Nomura have a book like this?" Y/n asked herself as she placed her hand on top of the cover and pulled it open. She then flipped to a page where a bookmark was placed. It was mainly trollish words that Y/n could hardly make out but then noticed that the words were probably describing a knife that was printed on the paper. "Why would trolls trouble themselves to fight with a knife, if their more punching type of warriors." Y/n asked herself, she would've continued but someone caught her.
"Y/n!" Someone yelled, she yelped and saw it was just Steve. She groaned as she folded her arms.
"What do you want Palchuck." Y/n said sternly as Steve turned on the light.
"I thought this was the nathandraw exhibit." Steve said, but once the light was on, it revealed to be a giant stone bridge behind them. But the funny thing was not only was it half way built, but it looked familiar to Y/n somehow.
"This isn't the Neanderthal exhibit, but I wonder which one it is." Y/n said as she walked over to the bridge and put her hand on it. But then the lights flickered off, causing Y/n to groan.
"Y/n and Mr. Palchuck." They heard some one say behind them sternly as a light was shown on them. They turned and saw it was Strickler with Jim and Toby behind him. Palchuck looked at Y/n and smirked.
"I uh, only came in here to get Y/n out, yeah." Steve said as he made his way to her and put his around her shoulder with a smile. "Yup, being the responsible guy." He said as he whistled through this teeth. Y/n rolled her eyes and looked ahead to Strickler but noticed the look Jim was giving to Steve. Jim was glaring at Steve. It doesn't mean anything, Y/n, remember? She said to herself as she pushed Steve's arm off her as Strickler sighed.
"The sign clearly said what?" Strickler asked as he looked at Y/n. She sighed and grabbed her hand.
"Exhibit closed." Y/n said, he nodded for her to continue. "Were not suppose to go into closed exhibits, I know, I know." Y/n said as she walked to the exit. She stood next to Jim and Toby as Steve walked out, winking at Y/n as he did. Y/n rolled her eyes as Jim kept glaring daggers at Steve.
"Alright everyone, back to the museum." Strickler said as Ms. Nomura walked next to him. Everyone left to go keep looking at the exhibits, unaware Nomura was glaring at Y/n.
"Do you think she knows? About the plan, I mean." Nomura asked Strickler, he looked into the room with narrowed eyes. Nomura looked at him as he thought for a moment.
"No, I would know from the second she came home." Strickler said, Nomura huffed.
"I have sources that tell me she's been taken to Heart Stone Market, our window is closing." Nomura said as she folded her arms. Strickler smirked as he turned his gaze back to all the kids who were exploring the offers of the Museum.
"Your window of living would've been shot, had your 'sources' not taken care of those lights fast enough." Strickler said but then smiled and looked at Nomura as she looked at him. "Let's continue having this chat later. I'm sure you'll be receiving something by then." Strickler said as he walked ahead, leaving an annoyed Ms. Nomura. Had she not been in the one place she loved, she'd probably break something. Nomura took a deep breath and faced the closed exhibit, red eyes suddenly appearing in the dark.
"Make sure this room is as boarded up as you can get it." She instructed and walked ahead.
