"Police found the body of 19 year old Rakia Sims early this morning, at this time there is no further information-" i watched the video Demon jus sent me

my eyes widened and on cue i answered his phone call

"you killed that girl for real?!" i asked looking at his chain since he had his phone in his lap and he was drivin

"you believe me now? putting hoes on shirts bout Phatman all 2023!" he cheesed lookin down for a split second before looking back up and he kept driving "come open da door" the phone hung up and i sighed and walked down the stairs.

i pressed the button on the wall to open da gate before opening the door and watching Tae drive up. he parked beside my car before gettin out and walking towards me

"now gone delete dem lil numbers out ya phone" he bent down and pecked my lips twice before leadin us in the house

"you assumin i wanna be wit yo-" he cut me off by kissin his teeth

"i honestly give no fucks about anything u finna say." he grabbed my phone and unlocked it. he wears scrolling for a few minutes, he looked up at me and laughed before he started typin

i heard the tone letting me know he sent a message and he turned the phone around

he put all my lil hoes in a group chat and sent them a picture from when my neck was bruised. he attached some corny ass message before leavin the chat.

"it ain nun to get more hoes" i shrugged before i felt my back hit against the wall

"i think u like makin me mad don't u?" he asked and i nodded, biting my lip to keep from makin any noises "imma fuck u up good one day" he laughed dryly before letting me go and walkin deeper in da house

i rolled my eyes and followed behind him

Tiana walked down the stairs, her nose and ears were red making me look at her confused

"what time is it?" she asked and Demon checked the time

"10:24-"

"too fucking early to be startin shit wit me!" she cut him off opening her phone and tossing it to me

when Tiana wasn't stuttering she was either mad or really focused.

i looked at the messages and i saw her lol boyfriend was tryna break up wit her.

"ian even d-do shit to d-dat nigga" her eyes watered and she looked over at me making me frown

"whatchu want me to do?"  i asked her and she shrugged walkin over to me

"i wanna slash his mama tires but that's ghetto" she frowned

"youn gotta do it, i know somebody dat can do it for you" Tae told her

"y-you'd do that f-for me stink" she pouted looking at him "yea Tris u needa marry this one" she cheesed lookin at him

he snorted lookin down at his phone and i laughed.

my phone rang and i answered seeing it was Jordan

"wassup?" i asked standing up and walking to the kitchen

"can u cashapp me sum money?" he asked and i heard Jaden sigh in the background

"yea, for what tho?" i asked putting the phone on speaker so i could send it

"food and shit" he kept it short

"i sent it to you" i told him and the line went silent, i assumed he was making sure it went through

"ight preciate it-"

"Thank youuu" they both were talking over each other

"it ain nun" i hung up before grabbing a bag of
cookies out the cabinet and walkin up the set of stairs in the kitchen so ian have to walk past Tae

i felt my mood dim and all of a sudden i really jus didn't want to be bothered.

I made it to my room and i closed and locked the door before takin my shirt and pants off leaving me in a pair of shorts.

i sat on da bed and grabbed my laptop. i started typing before i felt myself zone out

i checked my phone so i could write the date on the top of my paper.

i sighed when i saw her death date was in a few days.

my mom had been dead for three years now and yet i couldn't keep my mind off of her.

'i bet i stressed her out' i closed my eyes trying to get the thoughts out of my head.

'you drove her to an early grave' i had heard it many times before yet right now was the only time it bothered me.

"uhm ma'am i need to go to the restroom" i grabbed my bag and walked out of the classroom before the sub had a chance to respond.

i walked out of the side door so i wouldn't get in trouble for leaving campus. i started the short walk downtown, sighin lightly when the bridge came into my view.

i decided to use the stars to get to the top and once i made it inclined over the ledge and sat there.

i had no intentions of jumpin although people usually pull me down from here.

i sat staring at the water, watching it ripple due to the wind.

'i should've been the one to leave' instead my siblings have to deal with not having their parents. i would've been easier to cope with.

"fuck" i said so low i could barely hear myself. i was sitting on the ledge of one of the tallest points in the city with tears flowing down my face. feeling like i've hit rock bottom.

"what if i went with them?"
