Warnings in this chapter: Description of a major character death.

-----

"Hima-chan might have claimed you as her pillow, so be wary of sneak attacks," Hitoshi says tiredly, not bothered by his little sister's fidgeting.

"I don't fucking like hugs!" Katsuki snarks, making Hitoshi roll his eyes.

"It's too late for you now. Accept your fate as a pillow now. It's impossible to escape her," The indigo haired teenager retorts while he leans back into his chair.

"Hima-chan gets cold easily. I'm sorry for you," Hayate signs before patting Katsuki's arm in sympathy. "She's stubborn."

Katsuki growls and stands up to go into the waiting room. Hitoshi stifles a chuckle as he watches Cementoss fill the destroyed arena for the next battle. Katsuki vs Tokoyami Fumikage. Interesting.

"Stop fidgeting. You're being tamed," He says, not moving his chin off of the fidgeting girl's head. Himari rolls her eyes, but stays still, leaning into Hitoshi's warmth.

"Stupid big brother," She thinks with a small smile. She yawns quietly, blinking sluggishly.

"Sleep. You're safe here," Hitoshi whispers in her ear, hugging her to his chest. The three year old closes her eyes and sighs, smiling up at her big brother. She quickly goes out like a light.

Hitoshi smiles softly and glances over at his younger brother. Hayate yawns quietly and leans into Hitoshi's side. He swiftly falls asleep. The teenager smiles softly and leans back, ready to watch the match.

---

"Eraserhead, why are you calling? You should be resting," Midoriya Inko calmly speaks after answering the phone call. Shōta sighs heavily and leans back in his chair, making sure his microphone is off.

"If you have the time, I need your help with something," Shōta says quietly. Inko moves around some papers from her side.

"What is it?" She asks worriedly.

"What do you know about the name Shinsō?" Shōta asks while he watches the match about to begin.

Inko scoffs bitterly into the phone. "I know that Shinsō Mihoko has been giving me a damn headache. I know she's doing something to her kids, but every time I get close to taking them out of her custody, she finds a loophole!"

"...her husband was a good man though. I sometimes had to work with him. He was an amazing doctor. I remember the night he died. Hajime-san was taking his son–only son at the time–to the movies. On their way back, a drunk driver ran them off the road and the car wrapped around a lamppost. Hajime-san managed to keep his son from bleeding out and pushed him out of the car before he bled out," Inko adds with a soft, sad tone. Shōta sighs heavily again.

"Shinsō Hitoshi, Himari, and Hayate will be staying with me, Mic, and Midnight indefinitely. I want you to work on the case against their mother," Shōta says. Inko chokes on air.

"W-what? Are you–they're safe?" The woman asks incredulously. Shōta chuckles and glances at one of his fiances.

"Shinsō wasn't used to adults actually reaching out to help him, but he has help now. We will help him. He's a good kid," The black haired man says, making Inko chuckle.

"Hajime-san always gushed about him. Izuku kept talking about him after the USJ incident." Inko says brightly. "You don't have to ask me to work on this case. I will. This case always made me so upset that I could never do anything."

Shōta smiles softly, glad it was hidden behind his face bandages. "I have to go. We'll talk later this week." He hangs up.

"Who was that, Eraser?" Hizashi asks quietly after turning off his own mic.

"Midoriya's mom. She's going to work Shinsō's case," Shōta answers, making Hizashi brighten up.

"We're gonna keep 'em, right?" He asks brightly. Shōta gives him a half-hearted glare before sighing in defeat.

"...if Shinsō wants us to," The black haired man eventually says. Hizashi cheers loudly for a few moments before turning his mic back on. Shōta rolls his eyes at his fiance's antics. How'd he fall in love with two idiots?

Ingenium stares down at his phone, thumb hovering over his little brother's name. He sighs heavily before pressing the call button and puts the phone to his ear. Tenya answers almost immediately.

"Nīsan! How are you? Aren't you busy on patrol?" Tenya asks loudly. Ingenium smiles softly and leans back into the uncomfortable hospital chair.

"Something... came up on patrol. I might not make it home tonight. Can you tell Mom and Dad for me?" Ingenium says, rubbing the back of his neck.

"Of course! You're not injured, right Tensei?" Tenya asks worriedly. Tensei laughs quietly.

"No, I'm not injured." Tensei glances up and notices one of the victims' families arriving. "I have to go, but I wanted to tell you that I saw your fight. You did awesome, even if you didn't win."

"Thank you, Tensei! I will try even harder next time! Be careful," Tenya exclaims before ending the call. Tensei puts up his phone and stands up.

"Are you the Aoba family?" He asks when the family reaches him. The woman in the front shakily nods her head, hands clasped to her chest.

"What's happened to Yukiya and Runa? Who did this to them?" The woman asks thickly, tears falling again. Tensei gives the woman's arm a comforting squeeze.

"We don't know yet, but we managed to interrupt whoever did this before they could do anymore damage. They're still in surgery and the police and other heroes are canvassing the crime scene for any evidence," Tensei explains calmly, making the woman take a deep breath and nod her head.

"This–this wasn't Hero Killer Stain, was it? Please don't tell me it was!" The woman exclaims with wide eyes.

"No, it wasn't Stain. We're sure about that. Do you know when the Nakae family will be here?" Tensei answers almost immediately. The woman practically sags in relief before she wipes away her tears. She wraps her arms around two children next to her and hugs them close to her legs.

"Runa's family won't be here for another two hours but I'm her godmother, so I'll handle anything for her parents until they get here." A sma blush appears on her cheeks. "Oh–Aoba Ayame. This is my wife, Meifen and our other children Kusuo and Ryūsei." Tensei shakes her hand with a kind smile.

"Ingenium. Please, sit down. Can you tell me about Yukiya-san and Runa-san?"

The woman lets out a wet chuckle and slowly sits down. She is thankfully distracted by her telling stories about her son and his best friend.
