It should have been a normal day for Cobalt but it wasn't it never would be again. He sighed as he heard Stretch moving around upstairs and put away his sharpening kit and sheathed his throwing knives.
Papyrus looked up as he shuffled into the kitchen and froze. "Sans? What are you wearing? You can't wear that!"
Blue shakes his head. "Stretch set down we are going to talk." Cobalt watches Papyrus wondering idly if he realized this little talk was his final grace.
"Not until you get dressed Sans." Stretch glared at Cobalt's outfit. Cobalt blue steel toed combat boots, black leather pants, black long sleeved shirt, cobalt blue leather vest closed with straps and buckles, cobalt blue leather braces on his forearms, cobalt blue leather fingerless gloves, matching belt with knife sheaths and throwing knives. The only thing left of his normal outfit was his baby blue bandana. "Where did you even get those things?"
Cobalt shakes his head, "You are even more of a fool than I thought if your biggest concern right now is that I am not wearing the same ugly useless outfit you have been insisting on for the last eight hundred and thirty nine resets. Now set your ass down before this little talk stops being friendly."
Stretch jerks and looks Cobalt in his darkened sockets before dropping into a chair. "What is going on Sans this isn't you the clothes, the cursing why are you acting like this?"
"You mean why am I not acting like a frantic ball of energy trying to make a living, keep house, and raise my baby brother? I dropped out of school at sixteen to raise you. You turned twenty-two a week before Chara fell down the first time and you have been treating me like a not too bright child ever since the first reset. I am twenty-eight and eight hundred thirty-nine resets." Cobalt takes off his bandana and slams it on the table revealing the scar across his neck where Chara always cuts off his head. "I have had enough. Enough of that brat you baby, and enough of you controlling my life. Enough of living with someone who stopped being my brother a long time ago. I no longer have any grace to offer. I am moving on with my life. You are going to have to get up and face reality, not spend half the day high or drunk on honey. Maybe you will finally grow up without me here to take care of everything. I just don't have room left in my life to keep being disappointed by you."
"Where will you go to the Star Sans base?" Stretch frowns Dream could help him get Sans back to acting like himself it was just the Stockholm Syndrome again once Error was gone it would wear off.
"No absolutely not I wouldn't live with those hypocrites if it was the last universe in the multiverse." Blue stares him in the sockets. "That brings up another matter. Seeing as your judgment is lacking I am putting this AU on lock down when I leave. Call Inky if you want but he is a bastard who can't be trusted, as far as I can throw him. He will leave you bleeding in a ditch if helping doesn't suit his purposes."
"You can't do that bro, I am an adult. I can go where I want and it is none of your business who I spend time with." Stretch leans forward over the table not believing what he is hearing.
"Wow does that sound familiar oh right I said the same thing before you locked me in our AU for a decade and set all our so called friends to spy on me because you didn't believe I could make friends with Error. Or decide for myself who I wanted in my life." Cobalt stands and picks up a duffel that was sitting by his feet. "Enjoy your prison Stretch you have earned it."
Stretch lunges out of his chair but is too late to stop Cobalt from dropping through a portal.
