-Unstable verse Council Hall-
Gathering the documents he passed to Classic, Cobalt opened a beautifully carved box and put them away in special compartments made to protect and preserve the fragile old documents. "I used to think Nightmare hated babybones with the way he avoided them. But from the things we found after the fall he never recovered from losing Rêver." With a sigh Cobalt closed and locked the box.
Dust hugged him, "You know Nightmare if he ever met a babybones that needed him they would end up with the most overprotective parent in the Multiverse. He just didn't get the chance before Error gave up on us."
"Don't say that Dusty, he didn't give up on us, he gave up on the whole Multiverse. He had a right to after who knows how many millennia of fighting and abuse just for doing his forced job and giving us a chance to live." Cobalt sighed and stood up taking the box. "Classic I am putting you in charge of the other boxes don't disappoint me again or I will invite your brother to the next meeting."
Classic glared but his shoulders slumped. "I will but you might as well it isn't like he won't find out."
Dust gave a dark chuckle as he started to follow Cobalt. "Nightmare had a thing for keeping records he said even in a Multiverse without justice you should always have evidence." He snorted, "You really want your brother here for that after all that? That journal only covered Nightmare's life for five years, skipping a year. The others cover over two thousand years and document Error's injuries as closely as he could."
Everyone listening to them froze at that reminder, several looks were traded and someone quietly retched into a trashcan.
Cobalt was halfway to the door when he went down luckily Dust was able to catch him and the box unlucky Stretch was only a few feet away and of course assumed what had caused it was Dust's fault and started yelling.
Sifting Cobalt in his arms he glared up at Stretch then glanced to the side, then back at Stretch as if considering something then shook his head. "I haven't done anything to him. But I will tell you what is going on if you lead the way to the brake room."
Raven watched and muttered to Edge and Boss. "You know for a supposedly insane murderer he is looking and acting like the sane monster here."
Edge looked uncomfortable. "Dust isn't that bad. He has gotten a lot better since he and Cobalt got engaged." Edge sweated and backed up when Boss glared down at him. "What did I tell you about hanging out with dangerous monsters without permission."
"I c-can talk to who I w-want." He glanced at Cobalt and dodged a grab by Boss. "I don't need your permission to have f-friends." By now their little confrontation had gathered an audience. "I am the judge of our AU. O-one of t-the strongest monsters in Underfell. I fucking r-raised you." There was a long pause while the brothers glared at each other.
"Wow I thought it was just Cobalt but how common is this problem?" Raven shook his head. "We are not much of a flock are we?"
-Council Hall Break Room-
"You call this a brake room more like a lounge at least there are couches." Dust set the box down then gently eased Cobalt down on a couch, taking off his jacket and covering Cobalt with it. "Stretch listen carefully. Cobalt has an abnormally high magic production rate; it is why he has always been so high energy. It is likely because he carries both the Sans code for high magic level and the Papyrus code for stamina." Turning he looked Stretch in the sockets. Then waved him to a seat while he just slid down back against the couch, one knee drawn up, hands resting on it while his other leg stretched out perfectly relaxed.
Stretch settled Dream into the couch across from Cobalt in the conversation grouping as others slowly wandered in and headed for the bar. "What has that got to do with Cobalt passing out." Stretch glared at Dust trying to figure out how to get to Cobalt.
