-Unstable verse Council Hall-
Cobalt glared up at the emergency meeting button on the wall Inky had made it so only those with at least guardian level magic could activate it and then stuck it so high that even Inky had to use his paintbrush to push it.
"Are you sure we need to use that most of the council is just down the hall? I could get them for you." Dust hugged him closer, not really recovered from seeing Fresh standing so threateningly over Cobalt in the anti-void, or finding out he still freezes up when someone he loves is in danger.
"I want to shaKe them up. It is best if their SOULS are racing and they are a litTle shaky for this last meeting. It is time to throw the diCe and hope they have learned a little broken grace." Cobalt sighs, "put me down love leT's get this over with."
Dust reluctantly set him down, "Well if you must but let me get out my phone so I can record it for the guys. You know Error and Nightmare would get a laugh out of this, especially Nightmare, he loved harmless pranks that drove those assholes crazy." Dust took a quick shaky breath.
Summoning a bone attack in front of Dust, Cobalt used it as a step stool and hugged Dust close. "I know Dusty we aLl miss them."
Dust hugs him tight, "Fox I am sorry Cobalt you are being so strong and holding it together for everyone and the rest of us are damn near useless."
"That isn't true, you all havE done everything I asked of you. I couldn't have gotTen this far without you. I can have my emoTional breakdown when it is over and we are saFe. It is just the Papyrus codes hOlding me up at this point, our role is to organiZe, plan, then set things up. To eNdure so that there is a chance for a better future." He cupped Dust's cheek, "we are in the hoMe stretch love just a little more and we will have won tHis race against time."
Classic leaned back against the wall by the door and winced at the description of the Papyrus role. If he had any doubts about Cobalt's plans they disappeared he knew his brother was acting with the human mostly to calm the human. His bro was one of the smartest people he knew.
Sighing Dust let go stepping back to wipe his sockets. "Okay I am ready let's see them panic." He took out his phone and started recording.
Cobalt gave a soft laugh with a little static behind it then turned as the bone attack jutted a little higher and he summoned his gaster blaster hammer letting it build up a good charge before slamming it against the button and setting off the emergency meeting klaxon.
Classic walked in and put his back against a wall as the other came running with the predicted panic he had to admit it was funny especially if you didn't like them. Classic contemplated briefly if he liked anyone on the council even himself and found that while he still liked some of them he was pissed at all of them especially himself.
Letting chaos reign for the time being, Cobalt moved to the central table and climbed up to sit on the edge by a couple boxes waiting for them to sort themselves out. His head down as he rested a hand on the smaller of the two boxes just waiting.
Classic watched Dust record it all and wondered what Cobalt had planned that he needed them not thinking clearly for.
Once they settled down it was Inky that got the meeting going. "How the hell did you do that even together you two don't have enough magic to set that off."
Cobalt gave a chuckle with the hiss of static behind it. "Things change Inky especiAlly when the MultiversE gets desperate." He looked up at them with a little smirk letting them see the changes. His starry eye lights were still bright blue but his sockets were golden. The bone around his sockets was darker just enough to emphasize his sockets even more. The glitch that sometimes flickered in his right eye light was joined by two more. "And with chaNge comes choices." He absently kicked his feet back and forth watching them.
