"someone's nervous," teased nana as her and iwaizumi were out shopping.

"shut up, anyone would be."

the two plus lev decided to do some shopping since the weather was pretty nice in southern california.

"are you planning to do it tonight?" lev asked as he ate his ice cream.

"that's the plan, let's just hope bokuto, kuroo, and terushima don't fuck it up."

this made nana laugh. "knowing those three idiots, i wouldn't bet on it."

"they never change, don't they,"

"iwaizumi, you and oikawa have been dating for a while now right?"

"mhm five years."

"ooo longer than me and yaku!"

"how long have you two been dating for, lev?" nana asked since she never knew.

lev held up four fingers. "about four years,"

the three decided to roam around more, look and buying stuff they were interested in. some people recognized nana and lev, so they also took some pictures with fans.

they eventually got back home, with the others all huddle up in the living room. nana notice how iwaizumi's glance went straight to oikawa, making her smile to herself.

"we should get ready for the little barbecue we're having tonight," daichi says, getting up from the couch.

kenma looked at the time on his phone. "it's kinda early though, don't you think?"

iwaizumi patted kenma on the head and immediately, kenma got the hint. he got up and started helping daichi prep the food.

"isn't kenma adorable," laughed terushima once the pudding head was out of earshot.

"hurry up and ask him out kuroo!" bokuto says, nudging his best friend. in return, kuroo put bokuto in a headlock.

"play nicely you two," nana told them, looking at her nails.

"you're one to talk, nana." laughed oikawa. "weren't you like that to me when iwa-chan and i weren't dating yet?"

"yeah but that was five years ago and plus, we were in high school."

iwaizumi went behind nana and slumped his whole body on her back, making nana make an "oof" sound. since iwaizumi was a lot heavier than her, she was struggling to sit up straight. "iwaizumi hajime, get off of me right now,"

suga sighs but you can tell he was trying to hold in his laugh. "you guys are such kids,"

"that's so rude, suga-chan"

soon enough, the sun was setting and they were all outside getting ready for their little cookout.

iwaizumi was sitting kinda far from them, — at the beach actually — fiddling with his fingers since he was so fucking nervous.

he only has one shot at this so he can not mess up.

iwaizumi felt a presence near him and almost had a heart attack when he turned around.

"god fucking dammit terushima, don't just sneak up on people like that."

terushima placed a hand on iwaizumi's shoulder. this was basically his way of telling iwaizumi to calm down and breathe. "he's going to say yes, iwaizumi. trust me,"

"let's hope."

"trust me, for as long as i've known you and oikawa, you guys love each other endlessly. even before becoming an official couple." terushima turned around to see oikawa walking towards. he patted iwaizumi on the chest. "you got this."
