I WAS A PERSON WHO TOOK THE WRONG TURNS IN LIFE. Roads were built from concrete, it leads to different directions yet it was still so connected. My eight grade therapist stopped tears from falling down my cheeks every time I went in her room, because she had wired me to blame everyone but myself. I know that she knew I was too weak to handle it if she had told me that what happened to me was my fault. And my fault only.

Malena took the wrong turn, because apparently Malena got in the wrong bus.

By the wrong bus, I mean she went in a public commuter bus instead of Venisde Academy-owned ones.

I don't know how on earth she mistook a red-painted public transportation bus for a black blue and gold, Venisde sealed bus with black leather patten seats.

I told Mr. Clint about it, and they had to pay the bus Malena was on their usual working day daily fee to follow us to the forest.

So when we got off the bus, there was two other vehicles trailing behind us instead of one.

The green, thick trees were tall enough to shade us from the hot sun. There was a balding trail that lead to a blue lake, but we weren't going there yet. I don't enjoy nature much, so I don't have much words to describe it. But it was serene, like a Bob Ross painting.

Nathan got off the bus, gloomy and all. "What's gotten into you?" I ask him, noticing the duality of his mood.

He sticks his nose up like a kid and snobbishly ignores me to hug Ryder instead, who was threatening him to let go or he'll shove him down the dangerous ditch next to us.

"How come you're nice to Radcliffe but not to us?" Jordan whines, hugging Nathan out of comfort.

"You mean Jake?" I question, they were like this because I talked to Jake?

Nathan rolls his eyes, "Yeah. Jake."

I laugh to myself. "Don't worry Nathan. From now on i'll give you all my undivided attention." I cloy with my arms open for him to hug. I don't know how true my words are, but it did the trick well because he let go of Ryder and ran to me.

Nathan hugged me so tight I could barely breathe. "Okay that's enough." I muster, using the very last breath that was left in me.

"Okay!" He joyfully complies, grabbing my hand as we walk to the crowd of instructors, leaving his friends behind.

I see Malena get off the bus and hop over to her group like she just hadn't caused enough trouble already. I hadn't had time to even shout her name cause Nathan insisted on hugging me while we walked.

I never expected Nathan Miller to act like, well, this. He was practically known for seducing girls with his infamous good looks and charm.

"You're touchy today." I comment, trying to make him loosen his hold on me. Even though we were shaded, we were still outdoors. And the sun was starting to warm me up like a popsicle in summer.

"He's in a mood." Bennett says.

Eve since Malena and I's talk about Bennett, it didn't make me feel any less awkward around him.

Whatever, It'll go away soon.

"What mood?"

"Five days a month he acts like a little five year old kid. If it weren't for you he would be clinging on Ryder right now."

"I do not!" Nathan huffs, and then he pouts at me, his grey eyes looking right into mine as if by doing it I would be the key to all of his problems. "They're so mean."
