The room is silent for a few moments longer. Amelia glances up at Adam. "Well, what's the plan? We have to go check on Willow right?" Adam waves his hand up. "No, your mother is going to be a battle all on her own. Kevin is going to come stay here with you two for the night while I go to Trevor's and talk to your mom and check on Willow of course."
The next thirty minutes feels like an eternity. They hear a knocking at the door and Adam looks at them both and whispers. "I'll get it." He slowly walks towards the door. Adam reaches for the gun on his waist. Before he can pull it out they hear Kevin. "It's just me, open up."
Amelia can see the relief on Adam's face as he opens the door. Kevin walks in and they are both shocked when they see a little bit of blood on him. Kevin looks down at his shirt and back up at them. "It's not mine. Willow is ok by the way. Trevor said it looks worse than what it is. For some reason this guy is missing major areas inside the body. It's almost as if it's on purpose."
Adam rubs his chin and starts thinking. "Why though? What's the goal? The motive? It just doesn't make any sense. What is this guy planning. Or is it all just random."
Elliot chimes in, "I'll help in any way that I can. If he's targeting Amelia I want to be apart of this." Amelia blushes a little. She steps forward and grabs Elliot's hand. "I'm not leaving Elliot's side either. I'm in."
Adam interrupts them, "Hey, slow down a second. We don't have a plan yet. You can't just rush in and attack. That's how somebody gets killed. Kevin, you'll stay here with them for the rest of the night. I'm going to go talk to Irene before she bites somebody's head off and drags you to Trevor's by your feet."
Amelia and Elliot nod in agreement. Kevin glances over at Amelia, "Would it be too much to ask you for a wash cloth or something for this blood?" Amelia gives a half hearted smile. "Oh, yeah. I'll go get you one." Adam leaves as she walks down the hallway.
She hesitates to go into the bathroom for a second. Amelia's heart starts beating as she stares into the darkness of the room. She flicks the light on and lets out a light sigh. "There's nothing there.." She tells herself.
Amelia returns to the living room and hands the wash cloth to Kevin. "Thank you very much." He replies and goes to the kitchen sink. Amelia glances at Kevin and whispers to Elliot. "Well, I guess there's no turning back now. I wonder what this guy is wanting from us.."
Elliot shakes his head slightly, "I don't know. Whatever it is he's not going to get it." When Kevin is done he comes back to the living room and it's quiet again. Amelia tries to break the silence. "So, what do we do for tonight?"
Kevin gives a dry answer. "Well we can't go out and just find him so for now just wait till morning." Amelia stands up and glances at Elliot. "I'm going to go change my clothes. I've almost forgotten to through all of this."
Elliot gives her a slightly concerned look. "Do you want me to come with you? To stand outside of the door I mean." She shakes her head. "No, it's ok. I won't take long. You checked the house earlier." He nods as she goes down the hall.
"That was super awkward.. do they do that when they're normally together at home?" Amelia thinks to herself. She goes in her room and turns on the light. Amelia starts changing into a different dress and waits for a moment.
She tries to think of something to talk about before she goes back. Amelia sits on her bed and thinks about it for a moment. "I wonder if Kevin would talk about Elliot's mother if I asked." She thinks to herself.
Amelia takes a deep breath and gets up. She glances around her room one more time. She notices something move passed the window. She narrows her eyes and turns off the light. Amelia slowly walks over to her bed, closer to the window.
