The scene changes to a desolate purple wasteland. "Gawrsh, is that all that's left of the worlds taken by the Heartless?" Goofy asks.
"Those worlds will be restored if we beat Ansem, right? But, if we do beat him and all these worlds become restored and disconnected, what's gonna happen to this place? And to us?" Sora asks. The scene changes to Riku in a dark suit emblazoned with the Heartless symbol, transforming and turning into Ansem Seeker of Darkness. "All worlds begin in darkness, and all so end. The heart is no different. You see, darkness is the heart's true essence." Ansem says. The scene changes to Sora fighting Ansem and the World of Chaos. "The heart may be weak. And sometimes it may even give in. But I've learned that deep down, there's a light that never goes out!" Sora says philosophically, the scene changes to a defeated Ansem, reaching for the Door to Darkness. "Kingdom Hearts! Fill me with the power of darkness!" Ansem calls out, reaching for the Door to Darkness again.
"You're wrong.
I know now.
Without a doubt.
That Kingdom Hearts.
Is light!" Sora exclaims.
"Now Sora! Let's close this door for good!" Calls King Mickey, holding a Kingdom Key with a palette swap, known as the Kingdom Key Dark. The scene changes to Sora, Donald and Goofy struggling to close the Door to Darkness, pushing with all their might, Riku appears, while the door is closing. "Take care of her." Riku says. The door closes and both Sora and King Mickey use their Kingdom Key's to lock the Door to Darkness. The door disappears, leaving a winding path, lying ahead of Sora, Donald and Goofy. The scene changes to Sora and Kairi. "Kairi!" Sora shouts, running over to her, Kairi walks towards Sora. "Sora!" Kairi shouts, then the pieces of land start to break apart, Sora grabs Kairi's hand, slowly losing grip as they're separated. "Kairi, remember what you said before? I'm always with you, too. I'll come back to you, I promise!" Sora shouts.
"I know you will!" Kairi replies, letting go of Sora's hand. They both reach out for each other, missing each other's grasps.
The scene changes to a green glade field, with one straight path leading down it. Sora, Donald and Goofy are walking on this path. "Well now what do we do?" Donald asks.
"We've gotta find Riku and King Mickey." Sora replies.
"But, uh, where do we start lookin' for that there door to the light?" Goofy asks, then Pluto walks in front of them, holding a note with the King's seal on it in his mouth. "Pluto?" Donald asks.
"Gawrsh, that's the king's seal!" Goofy points out.
"Hey, have you seen King Mickey?" Sora asks, reaching out to Pluto. Pluto turns and runs off. Sora steps forward and motions Donald and Mickey to follow him with a big smile on his face. "Let's go!" Sora shouts, running after Pluto, Donald and Goofy following him. The scene changes to a night sky, Sora is walking by himself and spots a man in a black cloak, he looks around and spots him again, the black cloaked man floats away and disappears. The scene changes to Sora, Donald and Goofy in front of a massive Castle, called Castle Oblivion. The scene then quickly cuts off upon looking at Castle Oblivion, into a fit of static.
The scene changes back to the first scene in the book. With the Realm of Darkness and the pristean black beach. "I've been to see him. He looks a lot like you." The sitting figure says. Roxas' voice can be heard from the other figure.
"Who are you?" Roxas asks.
The scene changes to a dark city, Neoshadow Heartless appearing everywhere, surrounding Roxas. Ten, twenty, thirty, there is so many. Roxas then takes out two Keyblades. Oathkeeper, the Keyblade of Roxas' Light. And Oblivion, the Keyblade of Roxas' Darkness then clashes them together, creating sparks when they hit. Roxas kills a Neoshadow, then changes to him looking up at a tall building known as Memory's Skyscraper. An older looking version of Riku stands tall at the roof of the building, blindfolded, with long flowing silver hair. Roxas is seen running up the wall of Memory's Skyscraper as Riku jumps off the building, head first. Roxas throws Oblivion at Riku who promptly catches it. They both exchange glares as they go up and down the building. The scene changes to Roxas and Riku jumping back to back, all the Neoshadows being destroyed around them, they both turn around and look at each other, then jump backwards. They clash Keyblades a few times, Roxas getting the upper hand and Riku falling to the floor. "Why!? Why do you have the Keyblade!?" Riku questions. Roxas looks at Oathkeeper. "Shut up!" Roxas says, going to strike Riku down, but the scene fading to white.
