Chapter 14: Looks like my summer vacation is... Over.

The scene changes to Roxas' room. He wakes up and the scene goes slow. Roxas is seen changing, phasing in and out between himself and Sora. He looks out the window as birds fly by.

~The Sixth Day~ 

Roxas walks into the Usual Spot, stretching and yawning. "Man, I could not sleep last night." Roxas says, walking over to Hayner, Pence and Olette, but they don't answer him. "Guys?" Roxas says, going to put his hand on Hayner's shoulder but his hand just passes right through him. Hayner, Pence and Olette turn and run off, Roxas puts his arms out but they just pass right through him, like a ghost. Roxas walks over to the boiler in the Usual Spot and picks up a photo of Hayner, Pence and Olette in front of the mansion. Roxas is noticeably missing from the photo, instead leaving a blank space where he once was. Roxas looked around, the air was still and the area, silent. He walked out into the back alleyway and looked around, when Dusks started appearing blocking his exits, then as he turned to run back into the Usual Spot, Axel appeared from the darkness, Axel scratched his head. "Look at what it's come to. I've been given these icky orders to destroy you if you refuse to come back with me." Axel said sadly.

"We're... Best friends, right?" Roxas asks.

"Sure... But I'm not getting turned into a Dusk for... Wait a sec! You remember now?!" Axel asks excitedly.

"Y-Yeah..." Roxas replies.

"Great! But, you know, gotta make sure and all. So, umm... What's our boss's name?" Axel asks, but Roxas stays silent. Axel sighs. "Can't believe this..." Axel says. Roxas picks up a stick lying on the ground next to him and it transforms into the Kingdom Key, he gets into a battle stance. Roxas starts fighting the Dusks surrounding him, blocking his exits, he slashes away at them and turns his attention to Axel who makes his chakrams appear, he goes to attack Roxas but freezes. Roxas gets ready for the hit but stops, confused. "Roxas, to the mansion! The time has come!" DiZ's voice can be heard. Roxas holds his head and looks up.

"Hayner! Pence! Olette!" He shouts in anguish, but to no avail. He walks over to Axel and inspects him, time is completely frozen. Roxas runs through the alleyway into Market Street and time resumes for Axel. "The Roxas that I know is long gone. Fine, I see how it is..." Axel says to himself. Roxas runs through Market Street into the Tram Common, Nobodies start to swarm him but he ignores them and runs towards the cave leading to the mansion. Roxas reaches the mansion's entrance and walks over to the gate, he tries to open it but the huge lock in the centre of the gate keeps him from opening it. Dusks appear in front of the entrance and Roxas is backed into the gate. "Don't call me and then lock me out..." Roxas says to himself, concerned. Roxas gets a vision of Sora holding out the Kingdom Key, then Roxas looks at the lock and jumps back, summoning the Kingdom Key. He holds it out and a bright light appears around the tip of it, making a light pierce the lock, opening the gate, Roxas runs inside as soon as he opens the gate, the Dusks start to make their advance and follow him but Ansem intercepts them out of the darkness, summoning Riku's first weapon, the Soul Eater, as the gate closes behind him, the Dusks go towards him and attack. Roxas walks into the Foyer of the mansion, it is littered with ornaments and debris everywhere, it was obvious the place wasn't taken care of. Nobodies start to appear in the mansion, Roxas fights his way through them up the stairs into another room. The room is white and littered with drawings. It was Naminé's room. He walked around the room, looking at the pictures and one caught his eye in particular. It was a picture of Roxas in front of Memory's Skyscraper. Roxas starts to get a headache, holding his head.
