New came out of his room, as he heard the door of the house open and close with a thud. He first thought that it must be Gulf who came back, but he still did not ascend the stairs and Baifern was also not in her room either.
NEW'S POV...
I could not stop my tears. There was not even a whole month left for me to make up for the I am gonna lose with my son after his marriage. My stupid, weak at heart husband tried to delay this announcement because he had expected this kind of response from the kids. He should have told them about this a bit earlier, maybe that would have spared the drama today.
This Tay Tawan Traipipatanapong, the famous businessman, the ambitious, the gentleman is what the world knows him as. But deep down, he is a warm-hearted, understanding husband and father. Despite all these positivities, he is stupid when it comes to making decisions for the family. Just like now, he is crying like a child who dropped his ice cream.
I suddenly heard the main door open, Gulf is back I believe. I went down to the living room only to see my daughter spacing out. I stood by the stairs not moving, just observing the situation. Her tears seem to have left marks on the floor. Just how much did my princess cry, then came in my son, he too was crying. The air is filled with a faint smell of alcohol now, Gulf must have been to a bar. Kana cried his sister's name as she approached him. Gulf then told what all happened with him at the bar. It was so unbelievable.
Tears found their way down my face once again. I waited for some time and then saw my two babies asleep there on the couch itself. They must be so frustrated, I covered them with a bedsheet and sat beside Gulf hugging him. And then falling asleep as I thought how many days will it take for me to hug my son to sleep once again.
***NEXT MORNING***
Gulf was the first one to wake up and he found his papa sleeping beside him. His papa was hugging him, his sister still asleep. New woke up soon after, first carrying his princess to her room and then coming back to his prince who was already awake for a little chat.
"Kana... please don't be stubborn na~," New asked of his son. His son replied with a fake smile covering his sadness, "I won't... not anymore". "I can't see more tears in Papa's eyes" tears swamping Gulf's eyes again. New swiped his face before saying, "It's ok. Anyways I was just crying thinking how beautiful would my Baby Kana would look on his wedding day." "Really?" Gulfs eyes were now filled with childish curioity instead of tears, this made New's heart feel at ease.

That day at the university there were two pairs of friends sitting at different corners of the university, but having the same discussion. The worried friend asked, "Are you sure you're complying with it?". The questioned guy replied, "Hmm...I don't have a choice anyway."
As the academic day ended Mew walked to the main entrance where his brother should be by his car. As Mew reached his brother he also saw P'Baifern, she was hugging someone. And that someone was not her girlfriend but a man.
MEW'S POV...
As I came to stand beside P'Zee, I saw P'Baifern hugging a man lovingly and patting his head. On a closer look, I was shook. It was the Ice Prince. It was a surprise to see the cold man who I'd seen crying just the previous night. Woah! he even had a puppy side of his.
"This is Gulf. Baifern's brother." P'Zee introduced us. Gulf first smiled at me as he greeted me. But suddenly his smile was replaced by a shocked expression. Did he see a ghost?
I was about to ask him but P'Baifern already said her goodbye to us and was dragging her shocked brother to their car.
Why do I feel a sudden sting in my heart? I don't think I am the least bit contented seeing him turn his back to me.
Why?
GULF'S POV...
P'Bai dragged me to the car and asked, "Why are you so shocked, Kana?". "P'Zee's brother was the man at the bar yesterday." I answered dreamily, suddenly she yelled, "Mew was the bastard from last night's incident!?". I just corrected her saying he was the one who saved me and not what she thought. P'Bai calmed down a little as she sighed in relief.
"Good that he wasn't the molester or else I would have murdered him already!" P'Bai can be so scary at times. I just giggled and she asked me why. I simply replied, "Your possessiveness for your baby brother is so cute na krub~". She laughed with me.
This guy, Mew, felt so welcoming and warm. I wish I could be friends with him.
He's nice. But I can't be with him, I have to mary my already decided husband... Even if I don't want to.

Now there is exactly one week to their wedding, the person they were to marry was still kept a secret from everyone. The decorations were finalized, the wedding dress for both was decided.
There was nothing else left other than the seven days that would go away like a shooting star.
