Waaaahhhhh!" Jimin hollered victoriously raising his fist to the sky
"What just happened?" I asked looking at the cards on the table
"You lost Noona" he danced around the table taunting me
"I don't understand this game!" I exclaimed, sifting through the cards
"Just let it go babydoll, Jimin is freakishly good at this game. It's almost impossible to win against him" Yoongi explained, before popping a chip in his mouth
"Hmm. I will beat you one day Park Jimin" I declared staring him down, he blew me a kiss and continues celebrating
Me, Yoongi, Jimin and Taehyung sat near the fireplace playing a card game called Godori. I didn't completely understand it but I loved spending any kind of time with my boys so I tried to learn it.
It was late November, over a month since we met. Five weeks to be exact, had passed by like that. I took the job at BigHit, so I'm officially their English teacher and sometimes translator and unofficially their overall go-to noona. I spent so much time at their house it felt like I was living there, but it wasn't all play. When I was in work mode I may as well be a completely different person. They were right, work was work and our personal lives remained intact, I was worried for nothing. The last five weeks have been really great. I can't believe I wanted to leave them behind once the contract expired, I would have been a fool. I've grown so attached that I feel incomplete without them sometimes.
"I'm hungry, hyung what's for dinner?" Taehyung spoke looking up from his phone
"You don't have to make any for me"
"Why? Aren't you hungry too?" Yoongi asked rising from his cushion on the floor
"Yes but I literally cannot eat anymore Korean food. It's delicious I love it but oh my god I need American food asap" Jimin laughed collecting the cards from the game to put away
"Noona sounds like us when we are on tour overseas and crave Korean food"
"I need a burger or some hot wings" I whine, rubbing my tummy which has gotten pudgy. Every time I mention a diet or losing weight they all gang up on me "No, what I really want is soul food"
"Seoul food?" Jimin questions inquisitively
"No soul food, like food from the american south, black people food" I explain with a giggle "Collard greens, macaroni and cheese, baked ham or turkey and cornbread and dressing" I was nearly drooling just talking about it
"Sounds delicious, can you make some?" Taehyung asked with a innocent lick of his lips
"If I can find the ingredients here. Does Korea even have collard greens? It'll have to be on an off day. Cooking that kind of food can be an all day process"
"Then what will you eat tonight? We'll force feed you if you don't eat anything" Yoongi warned me as he walked toward the kitchen
"I have a little spaghetti left from what Lisa made the other day" I called out loudly to make sure he heard me. I folded my blanket that rests across my lap and put it on the sofa.
The three of us joined Yoongi in the kitchen. I helped him prepare dinner by chopping vegetables and Jimin cooked rice. Tae stood next to his elder at the stove helping him cook the meat. With the extra hands he was done in no time
"Babydoll, call the others to eat please" Yoongi asked of me. I called RM since he was near the rest of them
"Yes baby" he sang into the phone
"Joon bug you all can come eat now, dinner is ready"
"Okay" he ended the call. Hoseok arrived first and set the table. I pulled out the spaghetti noodles and red sauce for my dinner.
