Thirty-Five

I rolled over seeing my alarm clock's big blue numbers on display, 8:12am. I sat up in bed already wide awake, I'd been up since 7:27am. I went into my personal bathroom and took a quick shower l, brushed my teeth and put two big flat twists in my hair. I dressed in some black, pink, and grey leggings with a sports bra and matching hoodie for a morning run.

The house was still quiet so I moved silently so as not to wake the guys as I left. It was cold out but warmer than earlier in the week, I also wore a beanie, sunglasses and a mask to shield myself from the wind, sun, and any possible paparazzi.

I started with a brisk walk to warm my legs up and get my heart rate going. About three blocks later I was in a steady jog, since it was my first run in months I decided I'd just go until I was tired, without a goal. It felt so good to just run. My frustrations, stress, anxiety and worries hit the pavement with every step I took. I was a good two miles from home when I stopped for a brief break at a local smoothie shop.

"Good morning" the pretty girl behind the counter greeted me. I removed my mask and sunglasses greeting her with a smile "What would you like?"

"May I have the banana berry energy smoothie please?" I paid and stepped down to the next window to wait for my drink. While waiting I noticed a guy looking at me from a small table, I glanced his way to confirm my suspicion. I gave a polite smile and pulled out my phone, ready to dial my driver for a quick escape.

"Here is your smoothie, enjoy" the pretty cashier said and I took it from the counter. He continued staring as I moved toward the door to leave

"Excuse me" he called out right when I stepped out. I stopped in my tracks and looked at him "I'm sorry, I don't mean to be weird but is your no Annie?"

"No it's not. Have a nice day"

"Aren't you Lisa's friend? I'm sorry I'm one of Dani's coworkers and friends, we actually met last year at her birthday party. My name is Kang Jae Hyun" he extended his hand and stumbled over almost all his words

"Oh yeah, nice to see you again. My name is Ami actually" I shake his hand

"Sorry, I remembered it started with an A. Nice to see you again too. Will you be at Lisa's dinner tonight?"

"Yes I will"

"Great!" He said with a little too much excitement, I finally cracked my stone face with a smile. He was harmlessly cute "I mean cool, I'll see then"

"See you then" a slight bow between us and I made my exit. I walked back home as I sipped my smoothie. I pitched my cup in a nearby trash bin as my phone rang. "Good morning my love"

"Good morning Noona," Jin sang into the phone, "are you home? I went to your room but it's empty"

"No I'm on my way back now I went for a run" I explained stepping aside for others passing by. The streets started to crowd with more people

"Oh, did you have a good run?"

"Yeah it felt really good. You're up pretty early, I thought filming started later"

"It does but I'm an early bird" he chuckled "Did you eat yet?"

"No, I just drank a smoothie" I started walking again

"You want to help me make breakfast when you get back? If you're in the mood to"

"Yeah babe that sounds good. I'll be home shortly"

"Okay. I love you, be careful"

"Love you too baby. See you soon" My walking speed increased as I made my way home. By the time I walked in the door I was sweaty and tired since I ran back. "Ooh I need another shower ASAP" I commented to myself
