Twenty One

After the proposal me, Tony and some of their friends decided to go out for celebratory drinks so we parted ways with our parents and went to a local bar

"I seriously had no clue" Michelle was telling her friends while admiring her gorgeous new ring

"James, congratulations dude" his friend Lavell patted his shoulders

I sat off to the side with my drink, people watching when my cell rang "Hello"

"Hey babydoll" Yoongi's voice serenades my ears "where are you? it's loud"

"Hang on" I excused myself to find a quieter place to talk "Can you hear me better now?"

"Much. What's going on?"

"My brother got engaged tonight so we're out celebrating"

"James or Antonio?" He remembered their names

"James"

"I can call you later if you're busy, I didn't mean to interrupt"

"No, it's okay. I'm happy you called, I miss you guys so much. What are you doing?"

"I just ate but we did interviews and a photo shoot earlier"

"Sounds like fun

"How's your family? Is everyone well?"

"Yeah, everyone is healthy and doing well. My dad's nerve damage has plateaued for now so he's doing good but he's decided on early retirement" Yoongi and I talked about 10 minutes before I got too cold to stay outside

"Alright, I'll see you in a few days make sure you bundle up and stay warm and don't get sick"

"Thank you Suga. Stay well and tell everyone I say hi and I miss them"

The call was short but appreciated. I desperately wanted to be cuddled up with him, listening to his heartbeat as he unconsciously drew invisible circles on my skin. I went back inside to socialize with my people.

"Ami's poker face is solid, I didn't suspect a single thing. I even asked her why we went shopping and she lied to my face" Michelle laughed sitting on James lap "But we had a good time today, I hate you that you're going back in a couple days"

"I will try to visit again real soon"

"Going back where?" Paula, Michelle's friend, asked

"South Korea, I currently live there"

"Oh that dope, how long have you been living in Asia?"

"I spent 3 months in Japan and I've been in Korea for ten months now, I was supposed to come back home a couple months back but got a great job opportunity that I couldn't pass up so I'll be there for at least one more year"

"I was thinking, I could come visit you this summer" Tony said finishing the last bit of his drink

"Yes, you will love it there"

We lingered at the bar for another hour before heading out. James and Michelle went back to her place while everyone divided off to their homes and such. I rode back to my parents house with Tony

"Shhh they might be asleep by now" Tony whispered as we quietly entered the house. I took off my shoes and tiptoed upstairs following behind him after locking the door. I had a nice buzz so I couldn't wait to lay down and close my eyes. Once I hit the sheets I was dead to the world.

"Come on Ami, you don't want to miss your flight do you?" My mother nagged from the bottom of the staircase. My flight didn't board for 5 hours.

"Mom, I'm not going to miss my flight. It doesn't leave for five hours, I'm already packed. I have plenty of time" I replied with a roll of my eyes since she couldn't see me
