anna woke me once again at seven in the morning, her cold hand shaking my shoulder carrying a plate of toast and eggs.

"good morning" she said in her smiley high pitched voice, setting down the tray on the bedside table and quickly left the room.

i stared at the plate of food, nothing was appetizing to me so i pushed it out of my head and sat up in bed quickly because i knew if i took too long i wouldn't do it.

i got dressed in sweats and an old sweater, taking my phone off the nightstand and texting dylan.

is your family coming - me

not until 4, you busy? - dylan

anything to do around here? - me

come over here? - dylan

see you in 10 - me

the hallway was empty when i walked out of my room but every room bustled with noise. my footsteps echoed, breath quiet and distant.

I knocked twice at the door before dylan answered it, his hair a mess and wearing a grey hoodie.

"Come in, come in" dylan opened the door and rolled off to the side, a huge smile on his face.

"Big - fuck - plans for today?" I asked as I walked into his room, slightly messy but the floor was clean.

"We're sneaking out" dylan laughed, grabbing his phone off the counter and putting it on his lap.

"Do you have a license?" Dylan smiled mischievously as he waited by the door.

"It's -youuu- valid, but if you *brrrr* want me to drive you must (thwap) have a death wish - upon a star-" my tics were worse today, a combination of stress and lack of sleep.

"Can't get in a worse crash" dylan joked, letting me open the door for him and rolled out. I walked beside him down the halls and out the large door leading off the floor.

-

"this your car?" I asked as we approached a large blue truck parked badly.

"my dads yes. do you uh - mind helping me up?" dylan fidgeted nervously, he was obviously uncomfortable asking for help.

"of course *NO*, sorry how can I - i - i - i help?" i asked, pushing back my hair as dylan smiled up at me.

"I'll hook my arms around you, then just grab my torso and lift me up" dylan laughed as I leaned down, my head smacking to the side every couple seconds.

I felt my hands getting sweaty, I couldn't help but picture myself dropping dylan or fucking hitting him.

He hooked his arms around my neck, his head leaning against mine so I could smell his aftershave.

"Thanks" dylan said as he got into the seat, adjusting himself so he was facing the front.

"should have dropped you *bloop*" i ticked and dylan laughed, dodging my hand as I reached out to flick him.

"How long has it been since you've driven?" Dylan asked as i hopped into the car, pushing the start and pressing the gas.

"Two - TWO - years" i said nervously, i had stopped driving when my tics started and they had only gotten worse since then.

"whoo likes crashes?" I ticked, only one hand on the steering wheel as the other continued to make a sneezing motion up to my mouth.

"shit that's concerning" dylan laughed, reaching across and putting a hand on the wheel.

"I told - t - t - t you so" I laughed as I got onto the main road, increasing my speed.

dylan reached over and rolled down the windows, letting the warm air come into the car.

"I'm going to scream *bloop* at those people" i said as i gripped the steering wheel so tight my knuckles turned white.

"FUCK YOU" i shouted right after, sticking my hand and flashing my middle finger at the car next to me.

Dylan erupted in laughter as they cut me off, shouting out the window as they did it.

We were on a less busy street when Dylan looked over his shoulder and a small groan escaped his lips.

"The police are trying to pull you over.." dylan said cautiously, looking over his shoulder.

"Shit shit" I put on my signal and pulled over at the side of the road, my tics getting worse as I jerked my head and hit my chest.

The officer walked over to my window and gestured for me to roll down the window. He had a bushy moustache and eyebrows that merged into one, his face was a bright shade of red and his belly flopped over his belt.

"Oink Oink!" I ticked and snorted at the cop like a pig, completely out of control as I watched his face turn from friendly to a frown.

"Excuse me young man" He said sternly, not breaking eye contact with me as i blinked hard and looked up at the roof.

"Sorry, I have - A BOMB" I tried to explain that I had Tourette's but my tics had other plans, sending the officer into a confused rage.

"Did you just say you have -" the officer started but I interrupted him, pretending to smoke a cigarette.

"Weed, would you like a hit (thwap)" i ticked and looked over at dylan who was trying his best not to laugh.

"I'm going to need you to step out of the vehicle" the office ordered with a pissed off look, his hand on his gun.

I slapped the car door handle twice before I managed to open it, swinging the door open and jumping out.

"License and registration" the cop asked Dylan and he pulled out the registration from the glove compartment and my license from the cup holder.

"License and registration" i mimicked him, slapping my shoulder and then rubbing it.

I barely had time to react when the cop turned around to face me before my Tourette's kicked in once again and I stepped forward.

Another officer got out of the car and stood beside us, his hand also hovering on his weapon.

"Hey, hey he has Tourette's. He can't help it" dylan finally spoke up when he looked over and saw the officers with their hands on their guns.

"That true?" The second officer asked me, slowly taking his hand off his gun.

"Yes sir" i answered, my face red and twisted painfully as I struggled to lower the tics.

"Nope - it's a ruse!" I interrupted the cop as he began to say something else to dylan, the second officer stood beside me and started asking me questions like I was mentally handicapped.

"Do you need to be restrained?" He asked me in a condescending tone of voice, putting his hand on my shoulder.

"I have your gun!" I ticked and grabbed his gun from its holster, not getting a chance to drop it before I was teased and the world went dark.
