summer

he thought of me as the sun
on days where i was dimmed, full of wollen sweaters and boots, he stared deep into my eyes and called me weak
he got chilly as my light faded, eventually becoming cold
on days where i was bright he hid
hiding his eyes so i couldnt see how dull they were
taking his clothes off to feel empowered
dismembering me and asking me to turn down the heat
"it's too strong" he said, sweating
my summers were his sweltering hell and my winters a time for him to bask
