Kara was sitting on a table, playing Candy Crush, while Bruce and Stark were just standing there, making small talk.
"What are you doing, Mr. Stark?" Director Fury asked, walking into the lab.
"Uh, kind of been wondering the same thing about you," Stark replied.
"You're supposed to be locating the Tesseract."
"We are," Bruce spoke up. "The model's locked and we're sweeping for the signature now. When we get a hit, we'll have the location within half a mile." Bruce pointed to a monitor that was searching for gamma signatures.
"Yeah, then you get your Cube back. No muss, no fuss," Stark said. The monitor beside Kara beeped, showing a classified file. She swiped her hand across the screen, sending it to Stark's screen. "What is Phase 2?"
Stark's question was answered by the sound of metal being dropped onto a table. Everyone turned to the sound and saw Steve and Diana standing there, with a blaster on the table. "Phase 2 is S.H.I.E.L.D. uses the Cube to make weapons," Steve said. "Sorry, the computer was moving a little slow for me."
"Rogers, we gathered everything related to the Tesseract. That does not mean we're making--"
"I'm sorry, Nick," Stark interrupted. He turned his monitor around showing the blueprints for the weapons. "What were you lying?"
"I knew it," Diana said to herself.
"I was wrong, Director. The world hasn't changed a bit," Steve said. Thor and Natasha walked into the lab, hearing the end of the sentence.
"Did you know about this?" Bruce asked Natasha, pointing at the monitor.
"You want to think about removing yourself from this environment, Doctor?" Natasha asked.
"I was in Calcutta. I was pretty well removed."
"Loki is manipulating you."
"And you've been doing what, exactly?"
"You didn't come here because I bat my eyelashes at you."
"Yes, and I'm not leaving because suddenly you get a little twitchy."
"I'd like to know why S.H.I.E.L.D. is using the Tesseract to build weapons of mass destruction," Kara said.
"Because of him," Director Fury said, motioning to Thor.
