Diana looked out of the window of the quinjet, seeing nothing but destruction and people running for cover. "It has already started. The Chitauri are here," she said, alerting the team.
"Stark, we're on your three, headed northeast," Natasha informed.
"What? Did you stop for drive through?" Stark asked. "Swing up Park. I'm gonna lay 'em out for you." Stark flew past the quinjet with a group of aliens flying after him. Natasha flipped a switch and a rail gun came out of the bottom of the quinjet. In a matter of seconds, the aliens were down.
Flying past Stark Tower, Natasha aimed the gun at Loki, who was occupied with fighting Thor. Before she could fire, Loki used the scepter and blasted one of the propellers off of the quinjet. The jet shook as black smoke clouded the windows. The quinjet spiralled down to the street. Diana held on to the bars on the ceiling of the quinjet, along with Steve.
Kara was fumbling with her seatbelt. "Damn belt!" she exclaimed. Kara took a breath and a lazer shot out of her eye, cutting through the seatbelt. Kara hung on to the bars as well. The quinjet crashed onto the street, throwing the three around in the back.
All of them ran out of the quinjet, onto the street.
"We gotta get back up there!" Steve yelled. The five ran closer to the Stark Tower, stopping in front of a bank. They looked up to the sky at the wormhole getting bigger. A giant sea-like alien came out of the wormhole.
"What the hell is that?" Kara screamed. The alien flew over their heads, shooting out more aliens. The aliens crashed through the windows of buildings, firing at civilians.
"Stark, you seeing this?" Steve asked.
"Seeing. Still working on believing. Where's Banner? Has he shown up yet?"
"Banner?"
"Just keep me posted."
The five ran for cover as the aliens fired around them. "We've got civilians still trapped up here," Barton said.
A swarm of aliens flew overhead, one of them carrying Loki. "Loki," Steve said. The aliens started firing at the street blowing up trucks and cars. More people started running for cover, staying away from the fire.
"They're fish in a barrel down there," Steve said. Diana kicked up an abandoned taxi and threw it at a group of aliens huddled together. Natasha stood and started shooting at the aliens flying over them.
