Kara followed Stark's trail as he zoomed after the missile. Stark held on to the bottom of the missile and Kara latched on to the top.
"Kara, what are you doing?" Tony asked.
"You didn't think I was just gonna let you shoot a missile into space on your own, did you?"
"You do know that's a one-way trip."Steve said.
The two ignored Steve and scaled up the Stark Tower, closer to the portal.
"Nat, on my signal, close the portal," Kara said, feeling the air getting thin. "Stark, how you holding up?" Kara said, once they went through the portal. Stark didn't answer. "Stark, do you copy?"
Kara looked around, seeing nothing but deep space. She looked behind her and saw Stark's body falling back down to the city. All of the lights from his suits were dark and he was unresponsive.
Kara quickly pushed the missile closer to the spaceship as two miniature rockets shot from Tony's suit. The spaceship exploded and Kara flew toward Stark, who was now rapidly falling. She held her hands out and grabbed Tony, holding him as she crashed to the ground.
The rest of the Avengers, except Diana, gathered around Stark and Kara. She stood up, hands on her back. Thor turned Tony's body over and ripped the face of his helmet off.
"Is he breathing?" Steve asked. He put his ear up to Stark's chest to find a heartbeat, hearing nothing. He looked back at the team and shook his head. Kara looked down and put her fist over her mouth.
Hulk roared in Tony's face and he gasped as his eyes shot open. Kara let out a sigh of relief. "What the hell? What just happened? Please tell me nobody kissed me," Tony said.
"We won," Steve said.
Tony sighed. "Alright, yay! Hurray! Good job, guys. Let's just not come in tomorrow. Let's just take a day. Have you ever tried shawarma? There's a shawarma joint about two blocks from here. I don't know what it is, but I want to try it."
"We're not finished yet," Thor said.
Everyone looked to the Stark Tower. "And then shawarma after."
