I was more than pumped to burn the place down in the beginning, but after seeing the people I began to question it. Two of our group members began to take out things of oil and run with them down the hallways. A small shiver ran up my spin as we followed after them.
We're really doing this. There's no going back. I shuddered for a second before I spun around and turned back. My body was on a different level than my mind. Screams began to echo throughout my mind. I shouldn't be going back! I should be going forward and continuing with the others. Oh no. This is real bad. Despite the shouts that came from Neji and the others, telling me to come back and follow them. If this doesn't kill me, then when I go back to them it will. They'll waste no time in killing me for being a traitor.
My body reentered the room where all the tubes were. Instinctively, I ran towards the one with the person from earlier and punched it open. I yelped from pain and the person in there had their eyes widen in surprise. Who the fuck wouldn't be surprise after someone punching their tube? The water poured out at such a quick rate that the glass couldn't handle it. Cracks began to appear in the glass and I dove to a side to take cover. My bloody hand was covered by the rest of my body. I figured it was put through enough misery that day.
When I turned around, I saw the person from earlier. They had a look of relief and happiness on their face. "I didn't think you were going to save me, due to you leaving earlier." They voice was loud and they shook their head from side to side. "That was a bad idea. Now you're going to burn like the rest of us."
"This sounds a bit like a horror movie or show." My breath is uneven as I stand up and straighten myself out. "Everything's okay, I'm here to help take you out of here." I smile and walk over to grab their hand. I stumble a bit as I try to pull them away and they stay in place, their head shaking from side to side.
"I can't leave this place. There are too many bad memories here and too many awful things that I had done outside to ever be put in a good life." They say and I can sense the nervousness in their voice.
Right now isn't the time for a pep talk to be given. I mentally groaned at them. I came back here to save them, there's no going back now. My head shook from side to side.
"Listen, we have a short amount of time so this talk is going to be rushed. I used to have a life of fakeness surrounded by me and to where I wasn't accepted for who I was. Everybody makes mistakes. If you let the past always define you, then you're not really living in the present." They had a moment of weakness and stumbled as I pulled them forward. Soon we became a team running through the hallway. "Don't worry; I'm a ninja that has a small percentage of an idea of what they are doing."
They rolled their eyes at me and stumbled for a few seconds before they fell. "Sorry, but I don't think my legs can carry that far or fast." A small blush appeared on their face and they crossed their arms over their chest.
A grin appeared on my face, "No need to fear, Konoha's sexy purple beast is here to save the day!" I swooped them into my arms and began to quickly pump my legs. I continued to smile as they muttered under their breath how they should have been able to run on their own or how they were perfectly capable of following after me. "You're welcome."
"I didn't even thank you!" They squealed out and I grinned. I could tell I was going to have a lot of fun teasing them in the future.
Thankfully, the oil from the others left before was still visible. There were many lefts and rights that continued onward for a few minutes. My mind could remember some of them from earlier from the patterns, but almost everything in the hideout looked the same. Only kami knew how Kabuto and Orochimaru navigated those halls. There had to have been some type of map that they used to get around. I shuddered when I remembered they had multiple hideouts. Do they have fake hideouts or hallways in hideouts just for when they get invaded? A booty ton of thoughts similar to that flew through my mind as we ran around.
It took just a few minutes for us to reach the others who looked fairly mad at me. Two of them looked ready to push me down a whole flight of stairs and then proceed to stab me in the kidneys. Neji had a look that was a mixture of disappointment and wanting to smother me for a few minutes until I woke up just so he could yell at me then continue to smother me again. It was not the most exciting sight for me to get back to, but beggars couldn't be choosers.
"What the hell are they doing here?" One of the men yelled at me. He threw a kunai that flew right past my head. It was so close I felt a gust of wind from it. Another shiver ran through my spine.
"Well, I figured I would save one person." I explained and he opened his mouth to argue with me. However, I gave him no time to do that. "I know I went against some of the rules of the mission and this person is now my responsibility. I will take on hundred percent of responsibility for this. You guys had nothing to do with this, only I did. So you have no need to worry right now."
"What makes you think we won't kill them on the spot when we get back in the village?" The second guy asked me and crossed his arms over his chest.
"Think of how much information they will have about Orochimaru and Kabuto. They will have special information that nobody else we know, has. This can be a great gain for our village and the ability to wipe the ugly smear of Orochimaru off of our name. I've learned that information against your enemy is one of the best things you can ever have as a weapon." They were silent for a few moments before Neji spoke up.
"We should hurry before they find us again."
I grinned in victory as we began to run throughout the hallways and towards the entrance. When I glanced at the person in my arms, they smiled gratefully at me. "Thank you" they mouthed and I nodded my head.
Once we reached the outside, the first man began to perform hand signs and spat out fire. Never before had I seen a line of fire light up so quickly. It was a sight to see. It was beautiful to see one of Orochimaru's hideouts be set ablaze, but I couldn't help but be horrified at the thought of other innocent people being trapped in there.

"So what's this kid doing here?" Tsunade asked and examined the person in my arms with her eyes. "I thought you would be picking up someone who wasn't a criminal in the bingo book." My jaw dropped and my eyes widened in horror. She groaned and shook her head from side to side. "I swear to Kami, you are such an idiot."
The person in my arms began to shake. "I promise I'll do no harm to the village. You can take me in, interrogate me and everything. I promise." They shimmied out of my arms and held their hands up. They then crouched down and bowed down to Tsunade. "I am willing to do anything to show how much I do not want to harm this village or anyone in it."
Tsunade rolled her eyes for a second before she barked out a man's name. She ordered him to take the criminal to the interrogation room. They were whisked away and gave me a sheepish smile before they were escorted out. The others in the room looked at me with a mixture of disbelief, surprise, and a bit of annoyance.
"What? How was I supposed to know they were a wanted criminal?"
