"What jutsus do you know?" The woman questioned me with her hands on her hips. Despite the fact that her voice was very calm and soothing, she somehow asserted a type of confidence in it. There was no time for tom foolery that night for me. Well, there was not supposed to be any tom foolery but I was a pretty mouthy teenager so that resulted in a few butt jokes from me. I was the definition of determined ninja.

"Well, I know the ones that can make a lot of rocks come out of the ground and create a wall." I explained and saw the look of disbelief she was giving me. Quickly, I waved my arms around and attempted to save myself. "I can move quite a bit of earth though! My ability to move so much earth is the whole reason I am here right now."

She raised an eye brow at me and I could tell she was questioning my choice of words. Her index finger was pointed at me then to the ground. "Show me." She mouthed.

I my head and began to perform hand signs. In the middle of the sequence, I stopped and looked back up her. "I cannot move as much of the ground as I did earlier, or else most of my chakra will be gone." I explained to her. She nodded her head and pointed at the ground again.

"Just show me what the best is that you can do."

I nodded my head and began to perform the sequence of hand signs for the second time, without stopping. My eyesight focused entirely on my hands and then to the ground as my palms slapped against the grass. I need to do my best here. This lady will sure be able to help me with some training. All I have to do is not be myself and impress her. The ground began to rise around my back and form a wall. It had reached to a great height from what I could feel from the chakra pulses. The growth of the wall stopped and my palms were placed on my hips. "What do you think of that?" I questioned with confidence.

"Quality over quantity," she stated as she swung her right fist over my head and knocked my wall over. "You still have a lot to learn if you want to become an earth jutsu user."

"Then I guess I am lucky to have a cool sensei like you." I said with a grin as I took in her criticism.

"A sensei whose name you do not know yet." She stated with a small smile on her face as well.

I shrugged my shoulders and continued to grin. "It looks like I have more to work for than just earth jutsu training." I winked at her and she sighed before she began on a long ramble as to how my earth training should not just be in my fighting style, but in my life.

"The trick to being a good earth jutsu user is to know that you are a great one. This goes for any jutsu that you may use. When you put your entire being into it, while knowing that you can do it, then anything is possible." She explained to me and leaned forward with an arched eye brow. "Are you aware of how little you truly believe in yourself? You put up the minimum to do the jutsu, but if you go above and beyond than you should be able to do better."

Slowly, I moved my head to the side and eyed her skeptically. "So you are saying I should be cocky with every jutsu I do?" My arms crossed over my chest as I looked at her. Suzu sighed at my response and put her hands on her hips.

Her head shook from side as she began to explain. "It is the mindset that you can do the jutsu to the best abilities that you can do. At this moment, you are thinking you can do the jutsu. You do not have hopes for it besides it succeeding in completing the small expectation you have set up for it." She took a step towards me and lifted up my chin. "You have to have a strong mind to have strong jutsus."

As soon as those words sank into my mind, I grinned in eagerness to train again. Suzu swiftly turned around and put some distance between us. "Come at me with all that you have."

I nodded my head as I held up my fists and ran towards her. At the last second, I back flipped away as she used an earth jutsu to knock me into a tree. As my body felt the impact of both the tree and the earth, I groaned. Man that is going to leave some big booty bruise. Suzu walked towards me with a raised eye brow.

"I thought you were aware that I was talking about an earth jutsu." There was a sense of amusement in her face and I scrunched my face together in slight annoyance at myself. "Should I have clarified that?"

"Yeah, that would have been very nice." I replied as I straightened myself up. My hands went to my hips and I grinned. "Should we try this show again?"

"Only if you can handle it," those words made me want to perform such a strong earth jutsu that it would use all of the ground from the training ground we were at. All of the earth would then dart at the woman and she would feel the power that I had! However, I did not have that power. This left me forced to go with the few jutsus that I could do. Speedily, I performed hand signs and slammed my palms onto the ground.

Two columns popped up from the ground around Suzu in an attempt to trap her. It looked as if she had to put no effort into it whatsoever when she used her fists to punch the columns into shambles. My jaw dropped as I looked at her again. Whatever muscle she had, she used them and destroyed my jutsu. She looked at me with an arched eye brow.

"Who do you appear so surprised?" She questioned me.

"You just destroyed the earth as if it was no problem at all." Quickly, I explained in awe. "I don't know if you know this, but I can't do that. It is amazing that you can. You are just a really cool sensei."

I was a bit antsy when she did not say anything for a few moments, but when a laugh escaped from her mouth, that led me to awkwardly having a force laugh come from my mouth as I was laughing along with her. Suddenly, she stopped and looked at me with an honest smile on her face.

"You will be fun to teach." Suzu said in an amused tone and walked over to me. "One learns by experience." Suddenly, I was punched by her and flung towards a tree. There was a loud pop heard from my back when it made contact with the tree. Another bruise, another creative story to think of, I thought to myself in an optimistic manner as I felt the pain shoot throughout my back.

"It is easiest to learn hands on."

The rest of the day consisted of Suzu teaching me as much as she could. There were plenty of instances of hands on training, which mostly resulted in me gaining more bruises. Within those hours of painful training I was able to learn many things from and about Suzu. I noticed that she was blunt and straight forward with her answers or she would sometimes try to have someone create their own answer to guess what she was thinking.

It amazed me how cool, calm, and collect she was. No fair, Ryuu has a really cool sensei while I have a really lame sensei. That was a thought that had crossed my mind a few times as we trained. Then a contradicting thought popped up every time I was slammed into a tree. I am so thankful Kakashi does not slam me into trees every five minutes.

At the end of the day, my body was covered in bruises, sweat, and disappointment. Well not exactly disappointment, it was more of my weakness showing. There were many things I had learned that day and I was eager to practice them when I was back at home in Konoha.

As the sun began to set, we both sat down next to each other and ate a small meal that Suzu had brought for us.

"Thank you again for all the awesome things you showed me today." I said as I took a big bite out of the food. Working hard did make someone hungrier.

"You are quite welcome," she said as she slowly ate her food. Once a few moments of silence passed, I asked her the question that had been on my mind the whole day.

"Why did you agree to train me even though we are from different villages?" I asked her with my eye brows furrowed together. "You seemed against it at first."

A smile was on her face as she looked at me with her head cocked to the side. "Simple, I know you want to fight Orochimaru and I will help kill him no matter what it takes."

Whaaaat? I was tempted to not even leave her reply and just make it a cliff hanger, but then I thought against it. So what did you guys think of this chapter? What do you think of Suzu? How is school? How is your life? Are you a musical person? What is one odd skill you want to learn?

I hope you guys have a wonderful day and smile. c: Farewell lovelies.
