"Brook come on you're killing me here" Max shouted from the kitchen. The rule in their house was that everyone was to be seated at the table and they all would eat toghter.
Max gorned he was hungry and this girl was going to be the cause of his death. "Dammit Brooklyn if you don't come down right now I'm going to make Max eat all the pancakes" their Nana said walking into the kitchen. "At this rate you won't have to make me do anything" Max whispered to her.
"Alright alright I'm here" the blonde girl said walking into the kitchen. She wore a knee length white skirt with a sleeveless floral crop top and nude wedge heels. "You look nice honey" Nana said as they all sat at the table.
"It's too short go change when you're done" Max said shoving pancakes into his mouth, "What? It doesn't even break school rules" Brook said looking down at her outfit. "Yeah well it breaks my rules so go change" he said, she sighed and rolled her eyes before sitting down.
"So anything exciting planned for today?" Nana asked, "I've got work" Max shrugged. "And I've got school then a very serious date with the tv" Brooklyn repiled. "Seriously you two are worse then me, and that's saying a lot. Even I've got book club and a coffee date with the girls this afternoon" Nana complained.
"Good for you Nana" Max said not paying attention to what was being said. "Ouch! What was that for?" He asked rubbing the back of his head, where Nana had smacked him. "Go out with some friends or each other, go to see a movie or something" she yelled at them.
Max sighed putting his utensils down, "you busy Friday night?" He asked looking at Brooklyn. She froze for a moment looking between Max and Nana, "no I don't think so" she said hastily.
"Good then we'll go out" he said then went back to his food. Once finished eating Brooklyn stood and took her plate with her, she came back with her bag on her shoulder. "Bye Nana see you later" she said giving Nana a kiss on the cheek.
"Bye honey" Nana said sipping her tea. "Where do you think you're going?" Max asked stopping her from opening the door, "to the car so you can take me to school?" She asked. "Not like that you're not" he said motioning to her clothes.
She crossed her arms in front of her with a huff, "oh you thought I was joking? I'm not gonna asked you again. Either change the clothes or miss school today" he said narrowing his eyes at her. "Fine" she huffed and went back into her room.
A few minutes later she came back down the stairs in a pair of blue jeans and a sleeveless floral white and purple top. "Happy?" She asked Max as she stood in front of him, "very now we can go" he said opening the door for her. She rolled her eyes as they went to the car.
"So how's school going?" He asked as they pulled out of the driveway, "Good I just can't wait for it to be over though" she replied. "What about you? How are the houses coming along?" She asked, "We're finishing up one today" he said.
"That's good" she replied, silence fell between them, the award kind of silence. "Go ahead and ask I know you want to" Max teased, "fine" Brooklyn sighed. "Any word?" She asked, "like I've told you so many times before no. I promise I'll tell you as soon as I hear something" he said.
"Thanks Max" she leaned over and kiss him on the cheek, "get out now I'll pick you up after school" he motioned to the door. Brooklyn hadn't noticed that they had stopped outside the school. "Bye" she said getting out and closing the door.
As she walked to the front doors of the school she noticed some kids crowding around a group of people. She looked closer and saw two guys leaning against motorcycles and two others standing near a black jeep.
As she passed she made eye contact with one of the guys who was by the car. He was tall and buff with black hair and seemed to be uninterested in all the attention him and his friends where getting. He felt her eyes on him and looked up, they started at each other before Brook looked down at her shoes and continued walking.
As she was putting stuff into her locker she heard a few girls gossiping next to her. "I think they are so hot, but the tall one seems so over everything which makes him even hotter" the one girl said. "I know this school needed someone to spice things up and we happened to get four bad boys" the other repiled.
Brooklyn's suspicions were right the four guys were new to the school. They were cute but seemed more like playing along bad boys. She didn't care though, them being there made no difference to her, she was on a mission and she was going to keep to it.
The day passed by and she happened to have a few classes with the new guys. When it was time to go home Brooklyn couldn't be happier. She rushed through the crowd as she walked to the front gates, as she pushed passed she saw the four guys sitting in the same spot they were that morning.
But this time as she passed them their eyes where on here. She kept her head down and carried on walking, "hey how was your day?" Max asked as she got into the car. She threw her stuff in the back seat, "do I really need to answer that?" She repiled tiredly as she pulled on her seat belt.
"Seems like you have some new students" he said pulling away from the school. Brooklyn looked at them and saw that the tall guy from the morning was watching her and Max.
"Seems so" she said turning to look at the road ahead.
