Bayliy had kept a low profile for a while after the building burnt, she noticed that everyone seemed tense. Austin was hardly around the house and spent most of his time at the club, no doubt not know what to do to save the business.
"I'm going shopping do you guys need anything?" Claire asked coming into the game room where Bayliy sat with the other girls. "No I'm good" Bayliy said, Claire left the house after that.
Austin sat at his desk in the club, a glass of whiskey in front of him. "Sir someone dropped this off for you" a guard came in holding an envelope. Austin looked up at him and took the white envelope from the gaurd.
To : Austin Baker
He flipped it over to see if there were any stamps but it didn't have anything else on it. He opened it and pulled out whatever was on the inside.
Don't forget about me just yet baby.
The card read, he turned it over and what stared back at him made his heart stop. He dropped the picture on the table and shot up from his seat taking a few steps backwards.
His eyes wide, his heart beating erratically and his plams sweaty. His throat was dry as he gulped, he slowly walked back to the table and picked the picture if up again. A picture of a dark haired girl sleeping soundly started back at him. "It can't be" he whispered to himself, he ran out of his office with the picture in his hand.
"Who gave the envelope to you?" He asked the gaurd who brought it to him. "I don't know sir a guy came in and gave it to me then walked away" he replied. "What did he look like?" Austin asked hurriedly, "I couldn't see his face he wore a hoodie" the gaurd said.
Austin left the gaurd and ran out of the club and onto the sidewalk. Cars rushed passed, and people hurried on their way. Austin ran a hand through his hair, "Fuck!" He swore at the top of his voice.
He turned around and walked back into the club grabbing a bottle of vodka on his way up to his office. He opened the bottle and downed some of it before looking down at the picture in his hand. It was impossible that anyone could have this picture, he was the only one who knew about them, not even Bayliy knew he had taken them of her.
He grabbed his coat and the picture walking out of the office. "Get the car I'm going home" he told one of the men. He dailed Claire's number but the call went straight to voice mail.
Max tailed Claire's car as soon as it left the mansion. He followed them all the way to the mall, he watched as Claire got out of the car. "You got five minutes" he said to the twins, "Let's go" Tom said to his brother as they got out of the car.
"No need I can go on my own" Claire said stopping the guards from following her. She walked into the busy mall for some retail therapy. She was passing one of the emergency exists on her way to a clothing store when two men fell into step with her on either side.
"Keep walking don't turn back or try to get anyone's attention" Tim threatened her as Tom discreetly pressed a gun in her side. They lead her to the exit before they could walk out the door, Tim pressed a chlorophame cloth over her mouth.
Her body went limp and Tim grabbed her quickly carrying her out. "Bring the car" Tom said to Max. They walked through the door and Max was already there. "Good job guys" he said to them once they got into the car.
"Mom?" Austin called as he walked through the door. "Mom!" He called again walking into the kitchen. "Mom you in here?" He looked around in the living room. He ran up the stairs and opened her room door to see it empty, "mom?" He called again more frantically.
He pressed his phone to his ear again dailing his mother's number, but the same thing happened it went straight to voice mail. "Mom!" He shouted at the top of his lungs, "hey what's going on?" Bayliy asked coming up to him.
"Brooklyn have you seen my mom?" He asked, "no she went shopping a while ago" she replied innocently. "Why what's wrong?" She asked acting confused, "she hasn't come back yet?" He asked her. "No she hasn't" she replied.
Austin rushed passed her and down the stairs and out the door, "Wait what's going on?" Bayliy asked as she followed after him. Knowing fully well what was going on. "You come here" he called one of the guards, "who went out with my mother and where are they?" He asked.
"I will check sir" the gaurd said, he spoke into a walkie talkie. "Sir they haven't come back yet" the guard replied. "Give me one of their phone numbers" Austin ordered, he dailed the number as they gaurd gave it to him.
"Where the fuck are you and where's my mother?" He asked as soon as the phone was picked up. "I'm sorry sir we're looking for her everywhere. She hasn't come out of the mall" the gaurd said. "What do you mean she hasn't come out? Did no one go in with her?" He shouted.
"She said she didn't want us to go in with her" he said, "I'm sorry sir we're looking for her" the guy said. Austin dropped the call not saying anything else. "Austin what's going on?" Bayliy asked him. He looked up at her and pursed his lips before answering.
"My mother's missing" he said, "What?" Bayliy said shocked covering her mouth with her hands. "What happened?" She asked. "I don't know she didn't come out of the mall and now her phone is off and we don't know where she is" he said.
"Don't worry we'll find her" Bayliy said reassuringly. "This all just feels like one big fucking daja vu movie" he said running a hand through his hair. "What are you talking about?" She asked looking at him innocently.
"Nothing I need to take care of something" he brushed her off then walked back into the house. Bayliy crossed her arms and smirked at Austin's retreating figure.
