Chapter 6

Ryan's house was the largest house in his neighbourhood. It was a mansion to be more precise. They walked into the house and saw a very modern interior, with white and grey being the main colours.

"Wow!" Brooklyn said looking around at the large chandelier, "my mom got an interior designer" he said. "Come this way they're outside" he said leading her through the kitchen. "So where are your parents?" She asked looking around, "they live in New York" he said opening the back door.

"Hey Ryan!" Someone shouted, by the pool was a group of people three of which Brooklyn recognised from school. "Hey guys, this is Brooklyn" Ryan introduced, "that's Seth, Adrian, Justin, Adriana, Roxey and Stacey" he pointed them out. Brooklyn gave them all a wave.

"What would you like to drink Brooklyn?" Seth asked her walking over to the fridge, "water is fine" she said. "You sure, there's beer?" He asked turning back and looking at her. "No water will be fine" she said again, he shrugged and walked over with a bottle of water in his hand. "Thanks" she said taking it from him.

They took a seat at the edge of the pool joining the rest of the group. "I love your hair" Adriana said and the other two nodded. "Thank you" Brooklyn said subconsciously touching her hair. "So how are you liking the town so far?" She asked changing the subject.

"It's kinda cool quite little place" Justin shrugged, "too bad it won't be like that for long" Seth commented with a smirk and the others shared the same look. Brooklyn gave Ryan a look asking for an explanation, "Let's just say we're bringing the chaos to the town" he said with a wink.

The group got to know each other more, the girls had gotten along well and Brooklyn felt like she had found some close friends in them. She got along with the guys too, they played video games, ordered pizza and played board games.

She had been talking to Skylar when Ryan came up to her. "Hey let's go for a swim" he said hurriedly, "no way I don't have a swimsuit" she said shaking her head. "I'm not taking no for an answer" he said picking her up and throwing her over his shoulder. "Ryan no! Put me down!" She shouted as he walked to the pool.

"Ryan stop!" She said but before she could get another word out, Ryan plunged into the pool drenching both of them. "You're fucking crazy" she shouted at him when she resurfaced. Ryan laughed back at her, she splashed water at him and he returned the favour.

Before they knew it they were in a full blown water fight, Ryan swam over to her and pulled her to him spinning her around. Brooklyn laughed she couldn't remember the last time she had so much fun.

"Shit I don't have any clothes to wear" she said when they got out of the water. "I could lend you my stuff then put your clothes in the drier" Ryan suggested rubbing his hair with a towel.

Brooklyn had a shower and put on a pair of Ryan's boxers and a t-shirt before coming in to the game room and joining the rest of the group. She sat down next to Ryan as the movie started. Once the movie was done Brooklyn checked her phone and shot up with alarm. "Shit!" She swore.

"What's wrong?" Ryan asked worriedly, "I gotta get home I didn't realise the time" she said looking at all the texts and calls from Max. "Why don't you just stay over?" Adriana said. "I don't know guys" she said hastily, "oh come on we're having so much fun" Roxey urged.

She looked back at Ryan who also had pleading eyes. "Okay let me just call home" she sighed after a minute. She walked into the hallway with her phone to her ear.

"Hey you okay?" Max asked when he answered the phone, he didn't seem as worried now and that made Brooklyn a bit suspicious. "Yeah sorry we went for a swim and then a movie and I lost track of time" she explained. "We?" He asked, "yeah a few of Ryan's friends were having a get together at his house" she said.

"Oh okay..." he said, "Um...I was just calling to tell you that I'm going to stay over and come home in the morning" she said crossing her figures he didn't have a fit about it. "Bee I don't think that's a good idea" he said.

"Come on Max please there's a group of us and it's already late. You can trust me" she said, "I know I can trust you, but are you sure you're ready for this?" He asked hastily. "Don't worry I got this and I'll call you if I need you" she said.

"Okay fine but call me if anything happens" he said in a warning tone, "I will I promise" she said a smile spreading across her face. She ended the call and walked back into the room, looking at everyone's expecting faces.

"I'm staying" she said excitedly and all the girls cheered. The went by with the group watching movies and having fun. It was the early parts of the morning when they all had gone to sleep. They decided to sleep in the games room making a huge fort.

Brooklyn had some how ended up sleeping next to Ryan. The first few minutes of her falling asleep was fine, then the horrific memories hay everyone else called nightmares started flashing through her mind.

Ryan woke up with a start upon feeling movement next to him. He looked next to him and his heart sank, Brooklyn was crying and trashing in her sleep. "Brooklyn! Brooklyn open your eyes!" He called worriedly.

But this didn't help make her come to, she now started to scream. The rest of the group was up now too and worriedly hovered around her.

"What's wrong with her?" Adrian asked, "I don't know" Ryan said helplessly.
