Chapter 1: Special Exam

Morning

In the Class D

3rd person's POV

Chabashira-sensei arrives at the classroom with her usual stern looks.

She then scanned the room looking for any absentee in class before speaking of the important announcement.

"Looks like everyone's here, let me announce to you about the Special Exam"

Almost everyone was confused and started to ask questions.

"What special exam?"

"What now, Sae-chan-sensei?"

Sensei then smacked the black board with her stick, which made everyone shut up.

"Would you incompetent, shut up a bit" she exclaimed

"Starting next week, all first years will begin their 1st special exam which will test your class teamwork, decision making and leadership."

"Some of you might think that this is just a test, but depends on your performance, you can earn enough class points that can change the standing in each class"

Everyone then became excited when they heard the possibility of change in class position.

"This special exam consists of 5 events which are 3x3 Basketball, penalty kick in soccer, mental arithmetic, confrontation and English test."

Hearing the event some are happy but some are quite sad.

"I will explain the rules tomorrow morning, use the remaining time for discussion"

She then leaves the class after her long explanation.

Ayanokouji's POV

After Chabashira-sensei left the room, the class then erupted and started each of their own discussions.

"Hey what do you think if I play the basketball or confrontation, I bet it's an easy win" shouted Sudou

"No way, if I participate in the english test I will ace it" said Yamouchi, which is obviously a lie

Hirata then stood at the teacher's podium to calm down everyone.

"Okay guys, settle down" said Hirata

"All of us must be excited after hearing about the chance of an increase in class points, which also means the increase of private points, right? but we still don't know about the rules"

"That's why we need someone that can manage us, someone that can formulate a strategy, a leader and I already have someone in mind" said Hirata with a serious expression

"And who might that be?" asked Shinohara

Hirata then smiled and said.

"It's Horikita, she will be our class leader starting today"

Almost everyone was shocked, hearing Horikita's name but no one dared to question Hirata's judgement.

"Can you please, explain the strategy Horikita-san?" asked Hirata

Horikita then stood and walked into the front facing everyone.

"First, Kushida will make a group chat. Then I want everyone, especially those who think they can win, to send a message, of which event they want to participate in and their level of mastery of the particular event. No use bluffing, I want everybody's participation"

"Also, the participants will be decided tomorrow after we hear the rules from Chabashira-sensei, that all"

After that, she then returned to her seat and as usual continued reading her book.
