Snow fell down and covered the busy street of New York. I watched from the windows in my apartment.

The Christmas and New Years rush had finally ended, but that didn't mean that New York wasn't as packed as ever.

It was now February, and snow was desperately clinging on and seemed as if it would never leave.

The door of my apartment opened suddenly and Annabeth rushed in, her hair absolutely covered in snow and her face was pink.

I instantly stood up and rushed over to her. "Hey, congratulations!"

She frowned as she took off her coat and hung it up. Her voice was nervous. "W-What are you talking about?"

"Your new movie deal!" I said with a grin. "I've never heard of the movie before, but you'll be great in it."

"Oh, yeah," replied Annabeth weakly. "I guess I forgot about it. It's already out then, huh?"

I shrugged as I led her into the kitchen. "I suppose. I saw it on the news. Okay, so, I think that we should celebrate. Tonight. Have a big party, celebrate you."

She blushed as I rummaged around my kitchen looking for some champagne. "I dunno, Perce. I never have parties celebrating movie roles. I usually just go to the premiers, and that's a party enough."

"Nope, I'm throwing you one. Besides, how else am I ever going to meet Beyoncé?" I asked as Annabeth laughed. "Where is my champagne?"

"First off, I don't know Beyoncé," Annabeth said as she swung up and sat on my counter while I searched. "Not well, anyways. And—you're clearly not listening to me, are you?"

"I heard the part where you casually mentioned that you knew Beyoncé!" I squealed as I continued my search. "What's she like? Is she really as nice as she looks? Wait, did you also meet Jay Z?"

Annabeth rolled her eyes as she joined me in my search. "Man, these drawers are messy. Do you even have an organizational system?"

"A what?"

"Never mind. Back to searching," she said sternly. "Wow, one of these days I'm going to completely reorganize your kitchen. Wait, do you not have any colanders? Or cutting boards?"

I shook my head innocently. "Nope! I don't really cook, and if I do I just sorta...dump the food, if that makes sense. No need for colanders. And cutting boards are just fancy plates."

"They're really not."

"Well, than maybe you'll have to bring me some," I snapped back playfully as she peered in another cabinet with disgust. "Or maybe all of your other stuff, too. You haven't even seen all of my closest."

She shivered but realized what I had said. A smile instantly erupted on her face. "Did you—did you just ask me to move in with you?"

I nodded as I helped her down from the counter. "Only if you bring your colanders."

She stuck her tongue out at me before pulling me into a hug. "I love you."

My face went red as we pulled apart. I'd never said I love you to a girl before, at least not in that way.

Of course I said it to my mom and Estelle, and even sometimes Piper when she'd come up with really good lyrics, but never seriously. Not, like, love love.

Not even Rachel. I'd never said that to Rachel. She'd said it to me before, sometimes jokingly, but I had never said it back. I suppose that I was just too scared.

And as I saw Annabeth's smile drop, I knew what I had to do. "I love you, too. Now let's find some champagne."

After hopelessly searching we finally settled on some old and questionable apple juice, claiming it was good enough.

We clinked our glasses and laughed as we drank the well expired juice together. I half expected to regret saying I love you to her, but that feeling never came.
