"You're freezing!"

As Annabeth and I pulled apart our hands remained intwined. Her hands felt like ice in mine. She laughed as we pulled apart, her eyes rolled.

"You worry too much," she whispered as she planted another kiss on my cheek, causing me to blush, which made me thankful it was dark outside.

"Let's go inside and get you warmed up," I told her as I wrapped an arm around her and led her to my apartment building, opening the doors for her as we walked.

"I feel fine," Annabeth replied defensively, a slight grin on her face. Her pale face was tinted red from the cold. Ever since we'd pulled apart from our kiss, both of us couldn't stop smiling. Her was smile was adorable. My smile probably made me look like an idiot, but she didn't seem to mind.

Once we reached my apartment I closed the door behind us and peered out the windows. I squinted through the dark and was able to make out several snowflakes floating through the sky. The heavy rain had clearly changed to snow with the temperature drop.

I took Annabeth's soaking wet jacket from her once we reached the apartment. I hung it up on a barely used coat rack near my door as she peered around, her arms crossed over her chest. She was clearly examining the apartment, which made me nervous.

"Sorry about the mess, I know it's not pristine," I admitted as I walked closer towards her, my hands in my pockets. She pulled her gaze away from the mess and peered back at me, her head slightly tilted.

"No, no, I wasn't thinking about that," Annabeth said with a shake of her head. "I was just looming around....I've missed this place. Wow, look, your kitchen is still organized..."

I shrugged as she gave off a light laugh. "Well, only thanks to your amazing organizational skills."

She smiled weakly before turning so she was directly facing me. "I'm serious, though. I've really missed this place, especially you. It's been hell without you."

"You're too kind," I replied sheepishly. "And it hasn't been a walk in the park for me, either. Especially since all the news stations wouldn't shut up about you and your new hunky boyfriend."

Annabeth rolled her eyes so far up I thought they might go behind her brain. "God, he's such an idiot. And not my boyfriend anymore, thankfully. I'm sorry for getting with back together with him, I was just so hurt when you accused me of cheating, I guess I let my emotions take control—"

"No," I said, cutting her off, as I shook my head, causing her eyes to widen. "You did nothing wrong, don't apologize. I was the ass for believing anything the Daily Mail has to say. So, now that he's not your boyfriend anymore....are you single?"

She couldn't help but chuckle. She leaned in towards me and pulled me into a kiss. As we pulled apart her face lingered by mine and she whispered into my ear. "No, I'm not single....anymore."

My face turned red despite the many times we'd kissed. As we pulled apart I couldn't help but notice a grin on her face. "So we're together now? No more fake dating, no more jealousy, we're wholeheartedly together?"

Annabeth nodded persistently. "One thousand percent. I'm not letting you go anymore."

"Estelle's gonna be so happy," I murmured, causing Annabeth to raise an eyebrow. "Oh, well, she's really missed you. Every time we talk she asks me about you."

"You don't say." Annabeth laughed and tucked a strand of her sopping curls out of her face. "We need to go see her first thing tomorrow. Or first thing after I finish moving back in."

"You're moving back in?" I asked hopefully as my heart skipped a beat in my chest.

She nodded. "If you'll let me. Now, do you have any of my old clothes here, because I'm soaking wet from the rain."

"Uhh, yeah, there should be some in a closet somewhere," I replied.

"Okay, I'll check in here while you check in your room," she ordered very diligently like a military sergeant.

She turned her back to me and started rifling through a closet nearby. I peered at her, a smile still plastered on my face.

When she realized I hadn't moved she paused and turned around, her arms on her hips. "Why aren't you going? Did you throw my stuff away—?"

Before she could finish her sentence I planted a kiss on her forehead and grinned, causing her face to have a light pink tint to it. "I've missed you, wise girl."

"I-I've missed you too, seaweed brain," she stammered. "It's nice to be back."
