Chapter 12~ Liam's Pov

   Gabby and I are sitting on the couch with my head in her lap while she runs her hand through my hair. My mother is sitting on the other couch that is next to us, every now and then I catch her smiling at us but she looks away quickly keeping the smile.

  "Hey Li I'm gonna go upstairs real quick and grab a hoodie." Gabby leaned down and whispered in my ear.

  "I don't wanna get up Gabs." I complain, she rolls her eyes then stands up sending me to the ground. I glare at her while she bites her lip trying to contain a laugh, I hear laughs coming from my mother.

 "You wouldn't get up." Gabby said and I pushed myself off the floor then looking down at her.

 "Whatever c'mon lets go get you a hoodie." I grab her hand and start pulling her up stairs and then into my room.

 "I was just gonna get one of mine."

 "Gabs I really could care less, here." I picked up my football hoodie and threw it to her.

"Thanks." She quickly put it on, it was a dress on her but it was cute.

  Me and Gabby were walking out of my room when I saw Lucas walking up the steps talking to someone.
I tensed and Gabby stopped right by my side.

Little backstory on Lucas is that he is my cousin who is like a month older then me and always had a crush on Gabby but was jealous, I guess, because Gabby was always around me. He became jealous of everything I did which was my spot on the football team, the girls I dated, how close I was to my parents, he always tried to one up me but always failed.

Gabby poked my side and I looked at her, she was looking up at me with worry.

I turned my head back to Lucas and I realized he was talking to a girl. Not just any girl though.

    My ex.

Her name is Courtney Cane and she cheated on me with Lucas after a year of us being together.
She has dirty blonde almost brown hair with blue eyes, she always wore skimpier clothes and such.

"Oh hey cousin." Lucas said to me as he wrapped an arm around Courtney.

"Hi Lucas."

"Hey Gabby." Lucas said in a flirty tone, I looked down at Gabby and she rolled her eyes not even responding.

"Lookin good Liam." Courtney said, before I could say something Gabby stepped in.

 "Don't you got a boyfriend to cheat on or somethin."

If there was one thing I know it's that Gabby has always hated Courtney, even before we started dating.

Courtney rolled her eyes and Lucas looked surprised but led her to a room.

"I'm sorry." Gabby said as soon as I turned to her.

"For what?"

"Saying that, it's just I hate her so much and everything she does annoys me but it wasn't my place." I pull her into a hug.

 "You're all good Gabs, now c'mon I gotta talk to mum." I kissed her forehead and we went downstairs.

 "Mom."

 "Yes dear."

 "Why the hell is Lucas here." She looks at me with apologetic eyes.

 "He's still family."
