I knew that having Lucas and Courtney here was gonna be hell.
I don't hate a lot of people but these are the two people I can make an exception for.
Lucas always tries to get with me or be better than Liam.
And Courtney, well Courtney, even from the first day of middle school she tried to be better than me in everything but she didn't succeed. Then she dated Liam and cheated with the own person he hates.
Walking in the house after blowing up at Lucas I went straight to my room."Oh Gabriella." I turn around to Courtney standing there with a smug smile on her face. When the hell did the devil's daughter get here?
I roll my eyes at her.
"What Courtney." I ask already annoyed by this bitch's presence."Oh, I wanted to ask, have you told him?" Courtney questioned
"Told him what?" I ask confused.
"That your in love with him?"
"I don't know what your talking about."
"Oh, really? I see the way you look at him, you're pathetic!"
"Btch! Do you think i care what you say? Liam is a great guy. I don't know why he ever dated you. " Gabby's voice was almost a yell.
"You're so pathetic! You don't know Liam, like i do. He's not into 'good girls' like you." Courtney spit back.
"I don't know Liam?! Are you blind? We've been best friend since we were 6! I know him better then anyone." Gabby scoffed a laugh.
"Then you know he'll never be with you. He only sees you as a friend." Courtney spit again.
"I don't have time to deal with this. I'm gonna go make sure my best friend is okay. Because we all know he won that fight."
"Yeah, Lucas is a complete idiot. I just wanted to tell you that you'd never get Liam even on your best day." I walk close to her and whisper in her ear.
"And who's the one wearing his hoodie." Then walk out hitting my shoulder off hers.
A minute later I walked into Li's room.
"Hey" Li said while rubbing his chin.
"Hey. You ok?" I asked with softly, not wanting Liam to hear the confliction in my voice.
"Yeah, I'm fine. All I got was a busted lip and a black eye." He looked in the mirror accessing the damage. Which was damn near close to zero.
"You kinda look like crap." I laughed and feel the slight heat on my cheeks.
"You should see the other guy. " Li smirked making me laugh again.
I love his smirk. It's so damn sexy that it just makes my cheeks turn red hot really fast.
"Wow. Okaaayy, so are you going to tell me what that fight was really about?" I was sarcastic at first but then I turned to seriousness and it made Liam look at the floor.
Nobody can really piss off Liam and if you do, well, it ain't gonna be pretty.
"No." Li snapped, standing up and brushing past me. He stomped down the stairs and out the door. I stood there a minute debating if I should go after him and within a few seconds I knew my answer.
I went through the door straight to Liam.
I am going to get my answers.
"LIAM!" I said trying to make my voice a little threating... it did not work.
Liam turned around holding his wrist up. I looked and seen that blood was dripping from his knuckles."Really? Let's get your hand cleaned up." I said more calmly then before.
"No, I'm fine." He spoke quietly.
"Okay." I said also being quiet.
"Get in." Liam pointed to the truck and started toward the driver's side door.
I get in and Liam starts the truck and tears out of the driveway in seconds.
"Where are we going?" I ask him but his eyes are trained in front.
"Somewhere." That's all he says then continues driving. Neither of us talked the rest of the way there. Liam parked then started scanning through the radio until he heard a song he liked.
He turned up the music and George Strait's 'I Cross My Heart' played through the speakers like a waterfall, Liam turned on his headlights then got out. He walked around to the passenger side and opened the door, sticking his hand out for me to take. I grab his hand and jump out of the truck. Liam pulls me to the front of the truck.
I looked around for a moment and seen a huge tree. We were at the edge of the Walker Family farm. I have only been here once before when me and Liam took a ride on the quads when we were 16. The song played and Liam and I swayed to the music hand-in-hand. It feels so good to have Liam's arm around my waist.
"Why are we here?" I ask him as I slowly get lost in his eyes. I can't see their color but i know they are a dark blue. The moonlight casts shadows on us as the headlights dance with us.
"Because I wanted to get away from everyone." He looked me right in the eye. He has something on his mind but i I can't tell what.
"But you brought me." I remark with a playful grin.
"You aren't everyone Gabby." I realize how close we are now that we are looking at each other.
I hear the distant crack of thunder but I could care less, this moment with Liam has my brain going numb to everything around us. Liam spins me and that's when I feel the first drop of rain on my face. Liam pulls me back to him and we are even closer than before. If that's even possible.
I watched as his eyes flickered down to my lips and back up to my eyes. His dark blue eyes bore into mine and he leans forward. He stops just as our lips are about to meet. My heart rate speeds and I'm pretty sure Liam can feel how my heart is pounding.
I put my hands on the sides of his face and bring my lips to his, both of his hands slide around my waist but he moves one and brings it up to my face, cupping it.
He pulls away first and rest his head on mine. His breathing is a little quick but you wouldn't notice if you were farther away. I, however, am against him.
"Gabby I'm sorry I shouldn't have don-” He starts to speak but I cut him off.
"Shut up, Liam." He looks confused but then my arms wrap around his neck as it starts to rain harder and I pull him into another kiss, yet this one is more passionate then the first one.
I can taste the rain on his lips as we stand in the pouring rain getting soaked with the salty water, but i don't care. I am finally getting my first real kiss by the boy I've loved since 5th grade.
It couldn't be more perfect.
We stood the for a moment or two more before pulling away to catch our breath. We look at each other not actually saying a word but Liam's eyes are practically on fire. He's staring at me with so much heat that my knees suddenly feel really week."Gabby," Liam breathed heavier then before, "w-we should get back before they start to worry."
"Yeah," I let out a defeated sigh, "okay. Let's go." Way to kill the mood Liam.
Liam and I got in the truck soaking the seats in the way back. The whole way back I relived the moments Liam and I spent standing in the rain.
