Logan laid in his room, holding a small, toy rocket ship. It was the only gift he had gotten for any of his birthdays.

On summer night the stars fall a little slower and-

It was his birthday, and they had all forgotten again. Like every year. They never remembered anymore.. not like it was as important as the rest of them..

I don't know if I can caught them in time, so..

Maybe they thought he wanted this? He did say he didn't have a birthday, but that was a joke. And he only started saying that a fear years ago. They forget his birthday after he was 6.

Words delicately fail to the palm of my hands, tell me..

He didn't understand. Did he not mean as much as the others?

What am I worth?

He didn't know.

Logan got up from his bed, and fixed his tie in the mirror. He couldn't stay up here forever.

Or is it just me forming pictures from no where?

He left the room, heading downstairs.

I have funny little comic books taped to my hands, and..

He stopped when he saw Remus yelling at Patton. What? Why?

A brain within a brain, thats got a mind of its own, yeah.

He took out his ear buds just in time to hear Patton yell.back:

"Rocket ships will take off, whether you're in them or not!
Yeah its sad, but it's the truth!"

Logan sighed a bit. He wasn't sure what this argument was about, but..

"The world will still turn without you."

It didn't sound like his place to talk.

When you bones turn to earth

he turned to leave, and put back in his headphones, but he froze when he heard Remus say:

You ask me 'what was I worth?'

"It's his birthday, shitstick! You can't pretend he doesn't have one, like you pretend he doesn't exist! It's killing the poor man!"

Logan gained a small smile, and looked back at Remus, who looked at him and flashed a smile.
