She then hugs me like there was no Tomorrow. But I also noticed that she was shaking. Like she had seen hell or something. I hug her back as I calm her down.
"Lilia it's ok. I'm here. Are you okay?" I say to her. She manages to calm down quite a bit.
"Y-yes. I'm just so happy to see you again." She says.
But why? Why is she so happy to see me? I thought she wanted to never get into a relationship with me. Maybe it was because she was lost in this world and she was happy to see a familiar face.
But nevertheless I held her tight. In the past before I came here. I had a huge crush on Lilia. It was like a wildfire that burned so brightly when I was young. But those flames are gone. I was meant to be dead but I'm alive because the skullheart.
Yet the embers of the crush I had still linger even now.
"What are you doing here Lilia? I though you were back home." I ask her.
"I-I don't know. All I know is that I was leaving the church when a strange symbol appeared under me and I fell through the floor. When I woke up I saw you in front of me." She says I can feel her tears in my shoulder.
"We all thought you died! Your body was there on the floor lifeless! The autopsy they did showed that your heart was gone. There was no wound or anything it just vanished. You were there in a pool of blood." She says sniffling.
I pet her head calming her down. I told her that there's nothing to fear now. She calmed down until she eased up and held me in a gentle manner.
But there was another thing.
"H-how did you get here Lilia?" I ask her.
She wiped away a few of her tears before speaking once more. She spoke in a shivering tone. She was scared.
"A-all I r-remember is that I-I was in the church and all of a sudden something pulled me in way. After that I woke up here in this church. Everything was different. But Agatha here kept me company until i ran into you." She says now keeping a steady voice.
I turn to face double while she put her hands up in defense. I motioned for her to help Lilia. But before that I had a word with her.
"Double." I whispered.
"Did she see any of my powers during the process?" I ask her.
"No. She just walked down the stairs and saw you after you were done." She replied.
I nodded as we went to help take care of Lilia. My plan was to take her to the anti skullgirl labs and get her administered as a civilian in new meridian.
Timeskip
Once we made it to the front door I knocked on it and waited. During that time Lilia started asking me questions.
"Y/n. Will we be okay talking to them?" She asked me. I held her close as reassured her.
"Yep. I started working for them when I got here. My coworkers are nice to each other and too the civilians as well. We'll help you get settled into a home." I reply.
Then she hits me with a question that irked me.
"Then why do they call it the 'anti-skullgirl labs'?" She asks.
That made me remember that I'm helping these people hunt me. What a weird conundrum.
Thankfully the doors open to reveal Valentine.
"Ah y/n. I was hoping to run into you. We're having another meeting. Oh. Who's this?" She asks me looking at Lilia.
I introduce them as we went inside. During the walk Lilia clung to me, clearly nervous about everything. I actually forgot how beautiful she looked. But even then I'm the skullgirl. I can't have her involved with this.
'Is someone in love~?' The heart sings.
'Shut it.' I reply.
'Come on y/n. You love her don't you? Why don't you try again with her? She is right their for the taking.' It says.
This made a tick mark appear on my head.
'Hey! She said that she wanted to stay as friends! If that is how it will be then I will respect it!' I say.
Eventually we made it to then main hall where everyone else was at. They all greeted me and introduced themselves to Lilia. She returned the gesture and was relatively calm.
Until.
"Oh my dear how you've returned to my arms once again!" Hollow appeared.
Now Hollow isn't really all that crazy it's just that she is perceived as crazy. She is actually very gentle to those she loves. Except for rivals.
In which she hisses at Lilia and embraces me a little harder.
"You dare try to take y/n away from me!?" She says with a growl.
"W-w-what no! He and I are just friends that's it!" She says holding her hands up. I decided to end it so I pushed them both back and I promptly stomped the ground stopping a potential cat fight.
Hollow eventually calmed down a stopped glaring at Lilia while they both stayed close to me. As we took our seats the princess up and began the meeting.
