I sat on my windowsill, overlooking everything outside. Today was Sunday, my (do nothing day). I may go out and run some errands, but right now, I don't feel like getting up or going anywhere.

I thought about spending time with Justin, but I don't feel like it now. It's not like I don't want to see him at all, I just don't feel like it.

Then, my phone started ringing. I looked at the caller ID and saw it was my best friend from California, Amber!

I quickly answered it, and said "Hello?"

"Samantha! It's been ages!" She said.

"Hey Amber! How are you?" I asked.

"I'm great, actually. Did you find your special someone yet?"

"Yeah."

"Oh my god! Is he hot?"

"Yep. The whole package."

"Wow. How's Memphis?"

"It's a really nice city to live in, but it's pretty expensive though."

"My family actually lives in Nashville, and I'm visiting them on Tuesday. Do you think you come down there with me?"

"Umm, I don't know. I have to work on Tuesday, and I may have to get a substitute."

"Please...! I want you to come! Do you think you can bring your boyfriend with you?"

"Since he's off for two weeks, I think so. I don't know about me, though. I may have to work."

"Where does he work?"

"At the same school as I do. He's the music teacher. I've never heard him sing, though."

"Is he there?"

"No. He's at his house."

"Okay. But I really want you to come to Nashville with me! It'll be fun, I promise!"

"Amber, I said I'll try to. I have to get in contact with the principal first."

"Okay. Well, I've got to go. Talk to you later!" She then hung up.

Next, I called the principal to see if I could take Tuesday off to go with Amber.

"Hello?" The principal, Harrison, said.

"Hey. It's Samantha." I said.

"Oh! Hey there, did you need anything?"

"Yeah. I was wondering if I could take Tuesday off, because I have to go to Nashville with my friend who's visiting her family."

"But you've already taken some days off."

"I know."

"Umm, okay. I'll let you slide this once. But no more for this semester, got it?"

"Yes, sir."

"Okay." He hung up.

Right after that call, Justin called me.

"Hello?" I said.

"Hey." He said.

"Did you need something?"

"I wanted to see if I could come over, and show you something."

"What are you going to show me?"

"A song I wrote."

"Sure. You can come over."

"Thanks. I love you."

"You're welcome. I love you too."
