Life is full of ups and downs. Sometimes, we enjoy being on top but when our turn to get down, we realized so many things.

I asked so many people before.

"Why do you want to be on top?" And they answered me with different knowledge they have about it.

"I want to be on top to see the things I can't reach when I am still below it."

"I want to be on top for them to see what I can do"

"Being on top is a pleasure to meet."

And there's a person who gave me a different answer. I didn't expect that answer from her.

"When we're on top, many realization will came to you. First, in your dreams. When you achieve all of it, you have that feeling like happiness and achievement. Second, in your work. When you are promoted to the higher position, you have the confidence and happiness in your heart. Lastly, in relationship. In relationship, there will always be an ups and downs. You love him/her so you forgive him/her to what s/he has done. Sometimes you're in the upper hand so you can do anything. When you finally do what you want, you can feel the achievement. But...do people have the word 'contentment'? For me no. We doesn't have any contentment in ourselves. Like in our goals in life, when we achieve it we still want more. In our work, we want to be on top. We want to be the higher official. We want them to look at us highly. In relationship, we want so many things. That's life, it is like a seesaw. We should accept the fact that we can't be on top always. We need to lower something. We're not always on top, we need to be in the bottom too for us to realize some things."

I was so speechless. I can't say anything. She has the point.

I know her. She's always a person you can't see. An unseen person so people doesn't know her or even want to be friend to her. I pity her. She only want to express herself but society can't give her the attention she deeply want. She's a nobody.

But it is all before. She has the voice now and I am proud of her.

"I'm so proud of you, Veniz" she look at me and smiled. Those smiles can make my heartbeat fast.

"Thank you, Nathan."

"Why?"

"Thank you because you are one of those missing puzzle pieces that completed my life." I smiled and held her chin.

"No, Veniz. You are the one who completed the missing pieces of this man. You are the reason why I choose to fight than to give up. You are the reason why this man choose this path rather than obeying his parents. Thank you, Veniz." She looked at me with confusion. I know, I'm too unfair to her. I didn't tell her who really am I. I didn't tell her what kind family I'm belong before.

But, I have my reasons.

Even they will make me choose, it still her. I will still choose her more than anything. She's the one who mend my broken heart; my broken life.

They can hurt me but they will never get the chance to hurt my woman.

"It's okay if you can't tell me everything about you. I'll still accept you no matter who you are or where you're from. You accepted all my flaws so am I. But please, stay by my side and let's fight together." I kiss her forehead before I held her hand and we walk.

"You know what, I never imagined to fall in love. I prefer working than doing some stuffs. But fate loves to play and so I met you. I'm not regretting that I met you, instead, I'm thankful. I'm so thankful that he gave me a woman full of determination and braveness."

"Paano kung hindi mo ako nakilala?"

"Then I'll find you no matter what or maybe, I'm still single now." She laughed to what I've said.

"Baliw ka ba? Ang laki ng mundo, hindi mo ako mahahanap."

"But I already found you." She stop laughing and her face became red. She's blushing.

"You're blushing." I said stating the fact.

"Tsk. Bahala ka nga diyan." And she walked away. I laugh when I saw her hold her cheeks and muttered some words to herself. She's really cute and yeah, beautiful inside and out.

"Ba't ka tumatawa ha? Tss" I laugh and then shake my head. We're here in Beijing to visit her teacher before. And yeah, we also here for a mission.

"Lâoshī!" She shouted upon seeing her teacher before.

"Jié sī" An old man hug her. I'm not jealous. I'm not. He's her former teacher so I understand.

"Wô xiâng nî, Lâoshī" the strong look of the old man softened upon hearing the words.

"Wǒ yěshì" he smiled and tap the back of Veniz.

"By the way, Teacher. This is my boyfriend, Jonathan Montenegro." She smiled and held my hand.

"Ní háo" I said and bow at her teacher as a respect.

"You've grown up well, my student. Take good care of her, okay? She maybe physically strong but mentally not." I look at Veniz and then I smiled.

"Of course, sir. She's too precious to me and I can't afford not to take good care of her for the rest of my life." The old man tap my back and he guided us inside.

I never really thought that this woman beside me is reason why I am fighting for my life.

She did help me to find the missing pieces inside me.

I was once a broken man.

I was been lost in the woods.

And then, Master Henri came. I thought he's one of the villains, but no.

He trained me.

He taught me things that I didn't know before.

I don't want to suffer from their hands anymore. I want to be free.

They will never get me again. They're maybe related to me but still, I won't come back.

I have my own home now.

I have my own family now.

I have the woman that brings the light to me.

And I will never exchange them to be in that cage again.

They can hurt me.

They can punish me.

They can kill me.

But I won't let them touch the treasures I owned.
