Dinner was filled with laughter and cheer and we all relaxed after dinner dad spoke to Marshall while mom and I loaded the dish washer and cleared up ,we just finished when we heard someone scream from outside “fire in the hole” and a brick flew right into Marshalls car windscreen ,we all ran outside to see who it was and to some surprise it was Carol,but she didn’t throw the brick since she was still seated in the car parked on the street it was her stupid fiancé Marshall ran over to him and punched him right in the nose and pinned him down ,Carol was outraged and she jumped out of the car and ran toward us ,dad acted quick and he threw the garden stone onto the drive causing carol to tumble over since she was running in heels again her fiancé managed to free himself by hitting Marshall on the nose as revenge and they ran away ,I ran over to Marshall and dad helped him in ,I hurried to clean the wound and stop the bleeding mom got a cold towel to put on his forehead and I held his up to try stop his nose from bleeding
It took us two hours to stop the bleeding and dad had surveyed the damage done to Marshalls car ,he offered to pay for the damages but marshall refused to accept it ,mom instead offered marshall the guest room since he was injured and was in no condition to drive home and marshall gratefully accepted it ,he advised dad to take the footage of the incident and hand it to the police on Monday morning and I helped marshall to the guest room i said goodnight and I went to my own room to get ready for bed,I just got out of the bathtub when I heard a knock on the door ,who is it I yelled and to my surprise marshall answered I threw on my dressing gown and went to get the door ,I let marshall in and told him to take a seat ,I quickly threw my pajama's on and I went out to see what was wrong with marshall
To my surprise I found that marshall was asleep on the couch I walked over to him and I threw a blanket over him and turned the tv off,I walked over to my own bed and l picked up a book about the history of medicine and began reading it
It was half past two the next morning when I noticed marshall stir it took him seconds to wake up ajd he glaced across the room to where I sat reading,marshall spoke and even though I knew he was awake I still got a fright when I heard his voice ask what the time was ,he apologised for scarring me and I told him it was past two in the morning
He walked over to the bed where I was sitting and asked why I was still awake and then glanced down at the book that was on my lap he picked it up and read the title then he laughed and told me that I needed better books to read and I laughed to
We were both startled when my laptop received another assignment and I bolted up to check it ,marshall watched what I was doing and I ran around looking for pencils and a notepad and some research books for the topic ,I was standing at the booksheld picking books off it marshall walked over and read the email that I just received ,he stopped me from whatv I was doing and I looked at him questioningly “are you seriouisly going to do that now ?he asked ,yes I answered and went back to picking research books off the shelf he spun me around and took the books from my hands “and what if I don’t want you to do this now ?”I looked at him quizzically and he pulled me closer I was shocked at the gesture and my heart began beating faster
I tried to change the topic but he didn’t budge I managed to push him away and ran over to the couch and I threw a pillow at him and I ran over to the other side ,he threw a pillow at me and after our pillow fight we both lied panting on the floor ,and then began giggling
Suddenly my phone rang it was Tiara, she told me that Simone had fallen asleep and that she knew I would be awake so she called ,then Marshall grabbed my phone and spoke to tiara I tried to get it back from him since Tiara would start thinking otherwise but he defended the phone with all his might and soon enough tiara ended the phone call
Marshall handed the phone over to me and said “now we are equal”I giggled and so did he it was almost five and soon my parents would be up ,since neither of us could sleep we both sat in front of the tv and found a movie to watch we sat at opposite ends of the three seater and watched ,
At some point I had fallen asleep and so did marshall,but I have to admit that it was nice that we got to spend time together since he was fun to be around
