January 2020

"Win, you have a client at two, and after that would be another one at four which will be the last one for the day," Nene mentions while she carefully looks and taps on the iPad that she clutches against her bosom.

Nene is my friend, secretary, and assistant all-in-one since I started the business and without her, I would be a mess because clearly, she manages my schedule well. She knows how to handle pressure and is very good with co-mingling with people. There's always this comforting air around her that makes me feel at ease every single time. Nene surely knows what she's capable of doing and it's scary because she also knows how to transfer that to me. I mean, everything Nene does just screams perfection and I love that she doesn't brag about it as other people do — she's too down-to-earth. If only I'm not gay, I would have dated her a long time ago.

"Thank you, Nene," I utter and diligently takes the albums of the set-ups that I have managed to put in a portfolio.

It's been a year since I ventured into this kind of business which is really my passion since the beginning of my freshman years in college — to be someone who'd assist couples in making their dream wedding into reality. Thankfully, both parents are supportive of my decision and didn't force me to handle our own business. Because I know that I would never find happiness with that, and they are also aware of such fact.

And though new in this industry, my skills are already becoming known in Bangkok especially when I became Singto and Krist's coordinator during their wedding. Two of the most popular BL actors in Thailand, and also being the most honest with their status and feelings in the limelight. Since then, couples after couples hires me to be their fairy godmother and make their wishes come true.

"Nene," I call out earning a hum from the lady who's still standing in front of me with her cute outfit for today. "Did the couple for 2 PM mention any theme they are planning for the wedding?" I inquire all the while arranging the table and low-key making it presentable for the next client.

"Nothing, in particular, he did say that he wants to see some of your designs first and then take it from there," she adds while tapping away on the same iPad.

"Oh, Win, I heard that this client is a famous producer — you will be even known after this na kah and I'm excited to be busier than we already are," she squeals in delight from that alone.

"Ah, you always love being busy," I raise an eyebrow at her making her giggle. "Fine, I would gladly be busy if only you're with Nene because clearly, I cannot live without you na khrab. You are my lucky charm!"
