New job, new apartment, new clothes, new shoes, new everything.
God, it was tiring trying to live.
"______, whatcha doin'?" Oikawa pops his head in from the edge of your periphery as he tiptoes his way into your makeshift office space at the center of your newly furnished living room. New place meant upgrades that the space deserved -- making everything comfy and settling in fast cost way more energy than you thought.
"Fixing my schedule and arranging my free days for board game nights." God, it's been so long ever since you saw your friends, you missed fighting them over sheep in Catan.
"You sound busy." Oikawa's voice tickles your ear with his arms lazily hanging down your shoulder as his head rests on your head observing the glaring laptop screen you squinted your eyes at. Even if his presence was refreshing, you were trying to finish up important tasks that he wasn't helping with. You didn't know why your blood was boiling nor could you explain why you aggressively swiped at Oikawa's arms, but the brunette simply brushed this action away and instead opted to wrap his arms around your neck.
"Rest, please." Maybe you were irritated-mad? Maybe you were just annoyed? You didn't know nor did you care but you allowed Oikawa to slip you away from your work-mode and allowed him to carry you away to the brand-new apartment couch. Oikawa takes a moment to arrange your bodies as he settles himself below you with you lying flat atop him, sighing in satisfaction when you finally relax into his embrace.
"It's been so long since you've really just, I don't know, didn't think? You think too much." You scoff into Oikawa's chest but understand his complaints.
"Guess I should just nap away all the stuff, so productive..." You hated not doing anything but you were too tired to be productive.
"Just focus on me." Oikawa's voice is soothing enough to pull your attention towards his body reflexively flexing under your feather touches; your fingertips poke him carefully underneath his loose white-tee.
"Right, fine." Your hands struggle to settle, but ten minutes later, you finally settle as you and the brunette watch silly dog videos on CubeTube.
