demon
Human beings have always feared what they couldn't understand, especially if it wore a familiar face. The human once known as Oikawa Tooru attracted many due to his pretty face and never thought once of the consequences of being beautiful. It had happened recently, but the brunette finally accepted that he could no longer live life as a human. Slowly, he created some distance between his friends and the volleyball club by making a variety of what Iwaizumi called "pathetic excuses" in a desperate attempt to protect those he cared for. It didn't take long for the brunette to discover alternatives to keep him alive, even if it meant that he needed to resort to unsavory tactics to avoid moral issues.
"Oikawa-kun, you haven't been falling behind on your work! Incredible, considering you barely show up to school." You had noticed his attempts to hide his true nature - it was impossible to hide such secrets from you.
Maybe it wouldn't be a bad decision to let you know about his condition. Oikawa didn't know how he managed to tell you, but he equally didn't expect you to agree to his inquiries after explaining himself. Odd to see you take this news so well, even weirder since you allowed him your wrist to bite into without a hint of hesitation. This relationship he carefully maintained often clashed with his inner desires to either completely devour you or to make you his; what did he truly want when he first involved himself with you?
"Are your wounds healing?" Another day with you meant another full belly for his body but not for his soul. Oikawa often wondered about your thoughts about this mutual agreement or why you bothered to answer his selfish requests to see you on a weekly basis. Maybe it was because of countless days of loneliness he refused to face alone or maybe it was because he was genuinely attracted to you that he couldn't leave you alone. The many questions continued to bother him as he breathed each day hoping it would eventually be his last - curse that hag that gave him this gift of unlife!
"I want to be with you. I'm so sorry, but I want to be yours." Oikawa laced each word he exchanged with you in regret, yet you answered him with an honest and happy "yes".
The world around him changed a little, maybe it was because he was in love?
"Here, stay with me." This night would be just like all others: silent and clear of threats that Oikawa himself eliminated. His involvement with a human seemed to have sparked controversy with hunters of his kind and his own kin, leaving him no choice but to decimate those that threatened the happiness you blessed his pointless life. You had given him a reason for living, and he would do his damnedest to make sure you lived the rest of your human years in complete calm. The demons he defeated were weak and made a decent sized meal, sometimes they would be rather strong and hard to digest.
It didn't matter, Oikawa no longer had to resort to your blood if he ate those who dared to cross him.
"My lovely ______, are you feeling alright today?" Today would be like all other days: the sun would shine down on the two of you happily eating a stack of pancakes with vanilla flavored whipped cream outside your favorite restaurant. You would ask him what he was thinking of, he'd answer "you" and make you flustered, then he'd kiss you on the lips. Oikawa was a man of routine and enjoyed a seamless transition of activities, any interruptions to schedule would be met with harsh punishment.
"Oikawa-sama, my deepest apologies!" Another demon dares enter his territory with intention to devour you. Many demons unaffiliated with Oikawa desired your body, and those who chose to serve under the Tokyo demon lord ripped into these fools without remorse. Some slipped past his "family" and even cut off his arms or legs, but it didn't take long for the brunette to recover from his wounds as he played around with his prey.
"No need." Oikawa didn't bother humoring his subordinate who held the head of a yammering demon that threatened the brunette's livelihood. There would never be a shortage of idiots that thought they were brave enough to beat him, but having challengers provided enough entertainment and food for him and his followers.
"Is lady _____ doing fine today?" Crunch, crunch - the sound of a dead demon being devoured by another demon. Oikawa answered the question with happiness and found his hands sinking deep into the flesh of the very being he could have been.
"Tooru, let's have some pudding today!" Ah, he loved being with you the most. You never failed to remind him that he was still human.
