~Y/N POV~
I don't really understand why my mother is so into Jimin. I mean yeah he's good looking but tonight at dinner my mom hasn't been able to stop talking to him, constantly chatting to him and even my dad was getting a little jealous. Sending him dirty looks every now and then as we gathered around the dining room table.
Jimin took it upon himself to sit beside me which I don't mind too much at all. My parents sitting across from us but really the whole time we've been sitting here it's mainly conversation between Jimin and my mom.
"So jimin, do you work or go to school? What do you do?" Dad
My dad finally butted into the conversation glaring at the man he believed to be my boyfriend but I wouldn't label him as that right now or if ever. I'm still not sure yet.
"Oh well I'm actually in my second year of collage." Jimin
"What course are you in?" Dad
"Psychology." Jimin
"Interesting. How long have you been living here in town?" Dad
"Two years." Jimin
"But you've only just met my daughter a few months back?" Dad
"Yes sir. I've been so focused on my studies that it took that long to meet your daughter." Jimin
"How old are you again?" Dad
"I'm 21 years old sir." Jimin
"Where do your parents live?" Dad
"Busan and my mother died giving birth to me." Jimin
My dad instantly shut his mouth, eyes wide and he sat back in his chair from his bent over position over the table when he was interrogating Jimin.
"I'm sorry about that." Dad
"Oh dear Jimin that's horrible. You were raised by your father alone then?" Mom
Jimin cleared his throat and glanced towards me while I eyed him closely. I was curious about this even though there is somethings that I already know about.
"Yes he did but I wouldn't say we were close if ever really. The relationship between my father and I is very complicated and lets just say he never agreed with my life choices or that of my brothers either." Jimin
I chocked on my water when he mentioned the others. Coughing I slammed my chest but received a little pat on the back from Jimin which I thanked him for and he pressed a smile back.
"You have brothers? Are you close with them?" Mom
My Dad looked down to his plate awkwardly and went back to eating while my mom kept her sadden eyes on Jimin from across the table.
"I am very close with them yes. We do a lot together and share a lot of things too." Jimin
"Aw that's good at least. How many brothers do you have?" Mom
"I have six brothers but they're adopted." Jimin
Okay I know that was a big fat lie there but I didn't say anything to let that be known. I'll let that slide along with the other lies.
"Y/n have you met these brothers of his?" Dad
My dad asks, looking up from his plate through his glasses with a raised brow.
"I-I have, a few times."
Dad hums and goes back to eating. If only he knew the truth about all of this I think he would have a heart attack but so far my Dad hasn't been that bad. It would of been worse if my brother was here, now that would be a different story but lucky for Jimin he had to work late tonight.
