Roseanne's P.O.V:

I haven't talked to my best friend in months. Actually, my life has only consisted of my family, my boyfriend, and his best friend. It also consists of a lot of new music. Bands and other groups I've never once heard of. All his favorites. That's fine with me.

Anyway, it's prom night. Everyone's dream night. Yes, I have a dress already picked out. I'd planned it months in advance. That was back when Stacy and I could've still been considered friends. Now, it just sits on its hanger along my bedroom door and I stare. It's her favorite color, deep burgundy. It just feels wrong to me now.

Instead of my planned dress I've come up with something unique. I'm very skilled at sewing. That's something not even Stacy knew about me. Of course she would've had she asked.

Did she really think I bought all of my outfits from the mall?

Cole's P.O.V:

She didn't even tell me what color dress she was wearing. That's unusual but not unlike her. Over the course of these past few months my heart has been completely captured. She is my everything.

I finish up the finishing touches on my look and almost simultaneously my best friend pulls up in his brand new car. I chuckle and make my way down the stairs. My dad is sitting at the coffee table and looks up when I enter. He whistles and nods his head in approval. "Very nice son. Who's the lucky lady?" He wiggles his eyebrows up and down at me with a soft chuckle. I just roll my eyes. "You should know by now dad. My girlfriend. You've meet her before."

He thinks about this for a minute, "Oh yeah, that Roseanne girl. She's a real peach son. Have fun tonight and be good. I want you home by eleven sharp." Then he adds right before I'm out the door, "And no funny business!"

Gross. Dad.

Anyway, I slid into the passenger seat of Xav's new car and glance over at him. "Dang dude. How much did this cost you?" He chuckles at me. "She's pretty ain't she?" I nod in complete amazement. "Earth to Cole. You in there?" Huh? Did he say something?

I give him a clueless look. "Where's your girl live again bro? We're picking her up aren't we?"

Oh yeah. I quickly give him the directions to her house and we head off in that direction. I can't wait to see her.

Roseanne's P.O.V:

I make the finishing touches on my outfit and look myself over once more in the mirror. "Mom!" Almost before I've even finished calling for her she opens my bedroom door. I turn to her, "What do you think? Honestly, I don't know if this is good enough. Maybe I should.." my own mother cuts me off, "Oh Rosy, you look beautiful. That red is just gorgeous on you." She's practically in tears and I just roll my eyes at her. "You said that about the last one mom." She sends me a look. "That's because you always look beautiful darling."

Then we hear a car horn. My mom's eyes light up. Guess there's no time to second guess this one. She practically skips out of my room, down the stairs, and to the front door.

If I didn't know I would've guessed she's more excited about tonight than I am.

I hear voices down stairs. All of them sound excited. Nervous butterflies start fluttering around in my stomach and I have to take several deep breathes.

He's never seen me in a dress before. Then I hear my mother calling for me. Here goes nothing.
