I told Pansy about my dare. She says it's true love and it was meant to be. I'm just trying to kiss him not get him to marry me! I don't know if the easiest way would be to just tell him about the dare and then use the changing room thing as blackmail. I'm sure that won't work though, he'd rather be teased about seeing me without my top on than actually kissing me. So, the only way was to make him fall in love with me...

Quidditch tryouts! So many people signed up this year, I'm 10th in line because I've kinda been waiting for six years straight. Malfoy's already made the team. He didn't even have to tryout which is so unfair, but I guess he does buy the team broomsticks every year.

"Gray, you're up," shouts Marcus.

I grab one of the practising brooms, just basic Nimrods. And fly up to the goal hoops. I'm not the fastest on a broomstick, but I can stop a ball pretty well. And great, Draco is the one I'll be playing against. I guess he's not the best chaser but he's certainly not going to go easy on me.

"Scared, Gray." Malfoy mocked. To be honest my hands were shaking and I could feel my heart beat creeping up my throat. I don't think I've ever been more scared.

I manage to cunjur up a reply, "Well you've never been the best chaser have you." I hoped my voice wasn't giving me way, but even I could hear it crack slightly.

Draco gave me one of his evil 'smile and eyebrow lift combos' as I like to call them. He looked so stupid doing it, I see it all the time but they're mainly aimed at Potter. He threw the quaffle from where he was hovering. To easy, I thought. But then a bludger came flying past my face and was then hit by someone right back towards me. I flew down to get out the way, but the quaffle. I aimed my broom handle at the sky and held on for dear life as a flew vertically upwards. The quaffle hits me directly in the face and I span into one of the hoops, my shoulder crashed into it and then my hip. Still dazed from the quaffle hitting me, I hold onto the goal with one hand and my broom with the other.

"All good there, Gray?!" Shouts Marcus from the floor.

I put my hand up to signal that I'm okay, blink and shake my head around then fly back infront of the goal.

"Pathetic Gray." Chimes Malfoy, "one hit with the quaffle and it sends you spinning"

"I stopped it didn't I. Wasn't exactly expecting the bludger either." I argued back.

"In a real match-" Begins Draco.

"In a real match I would hope that the beaters could keep a bludger off their keeper whilst a shots being taken and then chasers could catch the ball after I deflected it. It's not a one man game, Malfoy. All though it is to you seen as you're the seeker."

Draco turns red and flies towards me, ball in hand. He feints for the left hoop but it's too obvious and I'm already defending the middle one. He aims to throw it under my broom and then through the hoop. I fly towards him and catch the ball, milliseconds after he threw it. I throw the ball back towards him, a little harder than would be necessary. It hits him in the chest, he obviously wasn't expecting it, but catches it anyways.

"Improved a little from last year!" Shouts Marcus."For once you didn't fall off your broom! I'll put you down as an option, okay Gray!"

I threw Draco a smile, he screwed his nose up and flew down to the ground. I followed.

"Glad I didn't put you down for chaser, hey Malfoy." Chuckles Marcus. Draco turns red again and then storms off. Serves him right for always being a brat. I thought. Then I remembered about the map and how he was supposed to like me not hate me. I was never going to get that map. At least I had a chance to make the quidditch team though.

I had just finished getting changed and was gathering my things when Draco bursts in.

"Draco, what the hell! I could've been changing!" I shouted.

He seemed a bit out of it, and as he entered he brought in a waft of alcohol. His feet tripped over themselves as he stumbled into the room.

Draco pointed at me "My father says Mudbloods shouldn't be allowed in Hogwarts, let alone Syltherin and the Quidditch team. You better watch your back." And he stormed out. What the hell is wrong with him?! Was that even a threat? Or a warning? And why had he been drinking?

When I came back outside, Marcus gave me the news that I was on the team! I couldn't  believe it. I'm finally on the team! I can't wait to tell Pansy. And surprise Fred and George at the next Quidditch match.

I walked happily back to the dorm, excited to tell Pansy the good news. I saw Draco with Crabbe and Goyle in the common room, I kinda needed to talk to him about what happened earlier.

" Draco" I said, and nodded towards the door. He got up and followed me into the hallway, still unsteady on his feet.

"What's this about, Gray. Can't have you wasting my time." He complained.

"What the hell is wrong with you! What was all that earlier, I don't care what you father things about me! It's not like he can get me kicked out of school! What do you want with me!?" I shout in his face, he looks taken aback.

"It..It's just-"

"No! I don't want some silly excuse that 'your parents push you too much' or 'I didn't realise I was affecting you like that' No! I don't care! Either you tell me what's going on on you leave me the hell alone!" I interrupted.

"But what if they're not excuses!" He shouts back. "What if that's actually what's going on in my life!"

"You can still make your own shuck decisions! If your parents are the problem why don't you just stand up to them or leave!"

"I can't." He says. "I can't do that."

"And why not."

He stepped forwards and placed a hand on my cheek, his breath stank of vodka.

My first instinct was to punch him, but I just pushed him away firmly by his chest.

"Get yourself together. Don't fucking touch me again."

His face turned red and he grabbed his left arm as if in pain and ran off down the hall. What the hell...
