A whole day went by and Draco just ignored me, and I just ignored him. I stayed away from Pansy and she didn't even ask me what was wrong. Draco wasn't a problem until supper in the Great Hall. As the owls came in I saw one drop something red into Malfoy's lap, a dreaded Howler. Everyone stopped and stared at him, he had never received one of those before. I could feel bile in my throat, this was bound to be about me.

Draco cautiously peeled open the envelope and out came his Father's voice. I looked around and could see Potter, Weasly and Granger recoil. They had all had too many bad experience with that horror of a man.

"Draco Lucius Malfoy" A snake like voice whispered, "I can't believe my own son would be seduced by a simple Mudblood! I am ashamed that you would even let her be near you, let alone talk with her. And furthermore, you decided that now would be a good time to fool around with someone like her." I could tell he wanted to shout my name out and let everyone know what I had done, but I guess Draco's letter was persuading enough. "I forbid you to speak with her again, don't let me hear anything like this happen again or I will remove you from that school!" His whisper slowly turned into a shout and you could see Draco trembling.

"Yes Father." He stuttered, and the Howler shredded its self and disappeared. He looked over at me with a sad shimmer in his eyes. I glanced away before my face reddened.

Once everyone was dismissed from the hall, Fred pulled me over to speak to him and George.

"That was you, wasn't it!" He said excitedly. "You kissed him!"

"Oh my God did you see the look he gave you?! He's sooo in looove" Teased George.

"Shut up!" I didn't do it for a dare. I wanted to say, but instead said, "You owe me that map. A whole month you said!"

"Fine" The twins synchronised. Fred took the roles up map
from under his cloak and passed it to me.

"Actually," I said, "I won't take it now, I'll just steal it from you whenever I want for a month." I smiled, knowing full well I could take it when they mkst needed it.

George mocked me and mouthed something like 'arse-hole' and 'Syltherin bitch'. I giggled and walked out of the hall. As soon as I did I was slammed against a wall by firm arms. My head make a loud thump against the cold stone and it took me a few seconds to make out who it was.

"A dare? You kissed me for a fucking dare!?" It was Malfoy. "I can't believe I trusted you."

"Draco." I whined, "It wasn't like that!"

"What was is like then?!" He barked.

"Look when I first talked to you at quidditch, yes, I was doing so on a dare, no, when you told me everything I cancelled those plans. When I kissed you I did it because I wanted to."

"How can I believe you?"

"Well what happened last night wouldn't have happened if I was just in it for a stupid dare!" How could he think this, wasn't it obvious I liked him? I put my hands to his waist in an attempt to pull him closer.

Draco grabbed my hands and took a step back. "Don't, don't try that with me. I can't." He held my hands longer than was necessary then turned on his heel and left.

A week went by and I had zero interaction with Malfoy. When I walked past him in the hall we didn't even glance at each other. It was like we hated each others guts. Which I kind of did, he basically gave in on his Father and soon as anything bad happened. Well, we had zero interaction until, on my way to D.A, Cho Chang was marched through the halls by Filch, Draco and his 'friends' not far behind.

"What's going on!?" I asked, not aimed at anyone in particular.

Surprisingly it was Draco who replied, "Potter and his little friends have been busted for their little spells club! I doubt anyone involved will be let off free."

Oh shit. Shit, shit, shit. The D.A had been caught. If I had been on time that would've been me. I started to walk towards the Room of Requirement in search of anyone who might be wondering what happened when Filch stopped me.

"Oh no, not you Miss Gray. I think you'll find you've been ratted out by a certain Parkinson." Pansy. What I little piece of work.

I saw shock register on Draco's face. He hadn't expected to be apart of this.

"Malfoy!" Filch said, "You're escorting that one."

Draco hesitantly gripped me by my arms and forced me to walk in front of him. I heard a whisper of what sounded like sorry in my ear. A few more members of the D.A were roughly escorted along the way. Filch explained that the Golden Trio were already in Dumbledore's office awaiting punishment.

When we got to the stairs of the Heasmasters office, I shot Draco a glance that hopefully said Drop me or I'll murder you. He let go of my arms but took out his wand and held it pointed at my neck as I walked up the stairs. Cho put up a bit more of a struggle and was practically carried up.

Sat at the desk infront of us was not kind Mr Dumbledore but the nasty Dolores Umbridge. Harry sat grumpily in a chair to her left, his hands unnecessarily bound together with a charm of some sort. Dumbledore stood with a smile on his face, as usual, at the back of the room. They were all in the middle of a conversation and looked up when we walked in. Hermione looked at me with a sorry smile and Harry looked angrily at Draco for very muchly man-handling Cho. She would have bruises on her shoulders for days.

The next few minutes went past in a blur and Dumbledore disappeared with Fawkes for saying that he told Harry to create the D.A - Dumbledores Army - Which was complete nonsense. Every member of the D.A received a nighlty curfew and a month of detentions ugh. In the morning we were to attend a group detention so she could explain what we did wrong.

"Come on Izzy cheer up!" Fred said.

"Yeah, its only detention. What's the worst that can happen." Said George.

We all filed in and sat down at desks. There was a quill and parchment infront of us.

"You are to write 'I shall not ignore rules' one-hundered times." Umbridge barked.

We answered with silence. All of us knew what was coming, words etched painfully into the backs of our hands. I was the first to pick up my quill and started writing. After ten lines my hand started stinging and itching, the next line made pin pricks of blood appear on my hand. At twenty I was wincing in pain as the cuts got deeper. Many of the younger kids were crying at their desks, struggling to write anymore.

Fifty lines was almost unbearable, a tear fell down my cheek and onto the paper. I looked over at George next to me and saw he was biting his lip as blood dribbled down his wrist. He glanced over at me and took in a deep breath before turning back to writing.

I got to seventy-eight lines when Umbridge declared it was over. Chairs scraped against the ground and everyone rushed from the room. At the doorway, George put his hand on my shoulder and I directed my middle finger towards Umbridges desk. Fuck you. I mouthed, smiling when her jaw dropped in anger. George shoved me through the doorway before I could do anything even more stupid.
