"Bloody Hell!" A voice whispered.
Draco and I jumped and shoved each other away, I looked over at the staircase and there were Crabbe and Goyle. Jaws agape, each one as shell-shocked as the other.
"U-um-uhh" Draco stammered, a look of complete dread over his face. "We were- uhh- just.."
"Revising!" I said, "We were revising!"
"On top of each other?" Crabbe said.
"Just- just go away and shut up! Both of you! Don't either of you dare say anything to anyone!" Draco barked. "If you do I'll have your memories wiped!"
I felt sick. What would happen to Draco if anyone found out? What would happen to me? He chased Crabbe and Goyle back up the stairs and then walked out the door of the common room, slamming it shut behind him. I put my head in my hands, my head was hot and I could feel blood pounding in my forehead. A choked cry escaped me, eventually I collapsed into sleep...
*****
Whispering awoke me. Crabbe and Goyle were sat on the couch opposite me, talking to each other. I layed still, intent on listening in to their convosation."I can't believe Draco would date her." Said Crabbe.
"I know, she's a filthy Mudblood!" Replied Goyle.
"Do you think Lucius will get her kicked out?"
"Hopefully, I bet she's using a love potion on him. I don't think Lucius will stand for that."
"Where is Draco anyways? He didn't come back last night."
"Probably asleep in some broom cupboard, he'll feel awful after taking the potion. We should go look for him and tell him what happened." They both got up and left the room.
I sat up and rubbed my neck, everything was aching from the couch. "What bastards." I whispered to myself. I was going to get kicked out, and Draco would probably get removed by his Father. Then they'd find out that I knew he was a Death Eater, then they'd kill me. Wonderful. I had stop them from telling Lucius.
I pulled myself off the sofa and threw on my hoodie that was discarded on the floor. Quietly, I left the common room and went off in search of Crabbe, Goyle or Draco.
Draco was of course at the Astromnomy Tower. His legs hung over the edge and he was shivering. I took off my jumper and wrapped it around him.
"Draco, Crabbe and Goyle are looking for you. They think I put a love potion on you or something. You kinda need to talk to them."
"uh-huh" Grunted Draco.
"Seriously, they're gonna tell your Dad and get me kicked out!"
"What? They wouldn't dare." He said sternly, he shifted his body so he was facing me.
"I think they would."
"Probably for the best anyways. You'll be safer outside of Hogwarts. You can go back to your Muggle life and pretend none of this ever happened."
"Excuse me!? Are you saying I should just leave!? I thought last night meant you weren't afraid of your Father and didn't care what people thought about you!"
"Well I guess not." He turned back to staring at the misty grey skies.
I smacked him on the back of his head. He turned around again and lifted a hand to cradle his injury. "You're going to get your sad little arse and get down those stairs and sort this out!" I screamed, "I'm not leaving Hogwarts because of you!"
"I thought you were going to help me?!"
"What's that got to do with this problem!? And I can't help you if I'm not in school!"
"Fine." He complained, he stood up and threw my jumper angrily at me.
I can't believe he acted like this was purely my fault. I thought he liked me, but here he was, looking forward to me getting dragged out of school. How could have ever liked him? He had to be the most selfish man alive.
Malfoy stomped down the stairs and I trailed after him. His blonde hair was messed up and his t-shirt sticking to his shoulder blades with sweat. His arm was also red again, he had been trying to scrape off his Mark. I could see his veins pulsing under his skin and saw his muscles flex as he lifted his hand off the railing... Stop it! I can't believe I was staring at him again. No matter how pretty and innocent he looked, he was still a jerk. Even if I had thought we had something between us. I guess he was just looking for a hook-up.
*****
We walked in silence for a while and eventually saw Crabbe and Goyle coming down from the Owlery tower. Draco shoved me behind a pillar and gave me an angry glare. I guessed he wanted to do this alone.
"Hey Malfoy!" Goyle shouted, "We just sent an owl to your father. He'll get that ugly Mudblood kicked out for sure!"
"What?" Draco replied, faking surprise. "Why, she did nothing wrong?"
"She must've put a love potion on you or something, do you not remember what happened?" Crabbe said.
"Love potion? No! You know how it is, I just thought, maybe..." Draco said. This made me confused if he was telling the truth or not. And I didn't know if I hoped he was...
"But Gray? If you wanted a hook-up you should've just asked Pansy. You know how she is around you."
Pansy? I thought. I thought she hated Draco? She never hung out with him and always avoided him. And she always seemed so innocent. No, not Pansy.
"I guess so. She's always grabbing my hand and asking me places. But she's hardly attractive." said Draco.
Oh, I guess the awful looks Draco gives her when he has to sit with her in potions is for a reason. And why she always turns red when he purposefully avoids her. What a Fake Friend! I guess I never showed much interest with her life and I certainly never showed interest in Malfoy, so fairs, fair.
"Heh. If Pansy asked me me out I'd go. I'm not sayin' no to that!" Snickered Crabbe. Ugh. Boys really were disgusting.
"What about Gray though. You want her to get kicked out. 'cos your Father probably will after that letter arrives." Said Goyle. At least one of them was thinking of the problem at hand.
"I'll just have to send another owl explaining what really happened. She's one of Snape's favourite students and he'd kill me if I was the reason she got kicked out." I'm Snape's favourite? What?
*****
I snuck away from the three boys and made my way back to the dorms to change. And then headed to the Great Hall for breakfast.
