"Honey, don't you just look lovely" My mother gushes, when I come out of my room. She is sitting in the kitchen looking through one of my teen vogue magazines.
"Thanks mom" I mumble not all to enthusiastic about going to the wedding with Jacob
"Perk up buttercup, your sister is going to be there" my mother informs me
"What? Seriously?" I can't honestly believe her doctors are going to let her do that
"Yes, she is. " my mother sets down the magazine and gets up "so let's get going I need you to do your sisters makeup"
"Alright one minute I need to go get my dress and shoes" I inform her before running to my room. "Mom" I yell
"What is it?" She calls back
"Does Jenna have a dress to wear?" I ask
" I was thinking she could just wear a skirt perhaps?" She says now coming I to my room
Really mom a skirt. No.
"Nonsense, I'll grab one of my old dresses from middle school"
"If you say so, sweetheart. Just hurry please the wedding starts at four and it is.." She checks her watch "2:07, so we really need to get going"
"Alright" I grab a simple back floor length gown with one silver strap going over the right shoulder. "Let's go" once we got into the cab I pulled out my phone I sent Jacob a quick text
'Hey can you meet me at the hospital in say an hour?'
'Umm... Sure thing... So does this mean you told your parents we're dating!;)'
The nerve of this guy!
'No! You're just... My date. I didn't tell them much. So let's just say you're a friend of mine alright? I'll talk to you later '
'As you wish. See you soon' he replies and I put my phone away
