"Whenever you have the time, maybe one where the reader comforts Christine or Erik (you can choose!) during a nightmare or something that's upsetting them?? I always see fics where the reader is being comforted so it would be nice to have one where the reader is comforting them!" - Requested by RaggiddySquinnquinnnn

I'm startled awake by a cry. Erik is sitting up, panting heavily, with the comforter curled in his fists. Sweat drips down his forehead as he stares at his hands. I push myself up, "Did you have a nightmare?" He gulps and nods. Understanding, I wrap an arm around him. Realizing he's shaking, I stroke his back to help calm him down, "It's okay, I'm here." Erik leans into my touch, obviously happy someone is here to comfort him.

Still stroking his back, I begin to sing softly, "Close your eyes, have no fear. The monster's gone, he's on the run and I am here." With my other hand, I gently touch his unmasked cheek, "Beautiful, beautiful, beautiful, beautiful boy." He raises his eyes to meet mine as I sing the next line, "Beautiful, beautiful, beautiful, beautiful boy."

Erik places one of his hands on top of mine and smiles softly, "Only you can find me beautiful. For that, I am truly grateful." He leans over and places a tender kiss on my lips. I smile back at him, "Are you feeling better now?" "Yes. Much better," His shaking and sweating have stopped, "You're an angel. Your singing can put even the most frightened hearts at ease."

He lies back down and I follow his lead. He wraps his strong arms around my body, keeping me close to his chest. "I love you," He gives me a tiny squeeze. I bring my arms up and do my best to squeeze his arms back, but it's slightly awkward, "I love you too." Erik chuckles as he lets himself relax with me in his embrace.

It's not long before we both drift off into a pleasant sleep, not to be bothered by a single nightmare for the rest of the night.
