I wake up and sit upright. It's so odd, I can see the stitches and cut from my previous interaction with the woman, but I don't feel anything.
I look around the room. There were two plates by the door. One had raw pieces meat on and the other had beet and pasta.
What a weird combination? But I am surely hungry enough, so I would eat anything.
I look over at Cygnus, who was reading a book, Patience.
What type of books does he read?
I still can't get over the fact that he is an alien and looks so much like a human.
A gorgeous human.
Shut it.Save for his eyes, I would have though he was normal boy my age caught in the same trap.
"Stop staring at me." He says not looking up.
I whip my head to the side, blushing a bit. I did just stare at him, didn't I?
"Do you eat that?" I ask gesturing towards the raw plate, changing the subject.
"No." He says still not looking at me.
"Why not?" I ask him.
"Just eat the food." He states annoyed.
I sigh and stand up. I am quite hungry and I was beginning to feel weaker by the minute. Maybe the blood loss had something to do with that too.
I pick up the plate with pasta and beet and walked back. I say a quick 'thank you' and I dig in.
It didn't taste as bad as it looked, it's probably just me being fricking starved.
Just then I heard muffled voices coming down the hall of the glass wall.
Soon they come into view. It's four men in white coats and the female doctor again.
Great. What could they possibly want now?!
I got up to storm to the glass wall to give them a piece of my mind.
Before I could even get to them, I am being softly pressed against the wall, Cygnus capturing me between his arms. That was super fast.
His face was a mere 3 inches away from mine and I could feel his breath caressing the skin on my face.
"What are you doing?" I whisper-yell at him.
"Keeping you from doing something utterly stupid." He states without missing a beat.
I frown up at him.
"Plus if we give them what they want, they will leave." He continues.
"What is it that they want?" I ask a bit frightened.
"A show." He says with a smirk.
Before I could ask about that, he leaned into my neck. I feel his breath on my sensitive skin and my neck hair rises. I feel his lips softly brush against my neck and I get goosebumps everywhere.
I can't even tell you how the tingles are feeling right now. It's amazing. I forgot about the cage, the kidnap and the people currently staring at us.
Without warning he moves up and places a kiss right behind my ear. My breathing gets cut off for a moment and my heart rate increases rapidly.
"Calm down." He says into my ear. I can practically hear the smirk in his voice. "Nothing's gonna happen."
Suddenly he moves away and looks at me from a distance. His eyes were glowing.
Gosh he's beautiful.
No boy... or alien has ever gotten that close to me, or made me feel a fraction of what he just made me feel. I felt kind of sad about his last statement.
Maybe it's just an effect aliens have on humans.
I look towards the glass wall. They were indeed gone.
"Your eyes are glowing." He states with a small smirk.
"Yours are glowing too! What does that even mean?" I ask the last part myself.
He shakes his head with a smile and walks toward his bed. He plops down and continues reading. "Good to know I have that effect on you."
What is that supposed to mean?
"Did this happen to the... Umm... the other girls?" I ask quickly gesturing towards my eyes.
"No,"
"but then again, I never came close to them." He says casually. Like this was some normal everyday conversation.
I start to pace. He eyes me from the corner of his eyes, as I walk back and forth.
"Well how do we know it's normal or safe at least?" I ask. What if I was slowly dieing? What if everytime he touches me it's like drugs, it feels good, but is bad for me, like poisonous or something. We wouldn't know, because we have nothing to look back on. Isn't that why they have the whole outer-space interaction experiment going on?
"Give me your hand." He commands rolling his eyes, sitting straight up.
He puts his hand in a high five position and wait for me to do the same. I do so and the moment our skin makes contact, the sparks fly right through my arm. It's like it's running in my bloodstream or something.
"You feel that?" He asks. I nod dumbfounded.
"Well, something like that, can't mean anything bad." He says.
It's true, but also very risky.
"Alcohol also feels great, but it's toxic." I say looking straight at him.
"I don't know what that is, but it's not this." He states looking right at me.
"All things that feel good, aren't always good or save." I mumble.
I look at our hands. Neither of us moving away. Just enjoying the feeling.
"You're saying I make you feel good?" He asks with a teasing smirk.
I pull away, blushing and walk towards my bed mumbling a 'no'. I hear him chuckle behind me.
"Why didn't you talk to me at first?" I ask. I do ask a lot of questions, don't I?
"There's a camera. They can see if I talk and they are under the impression that I don't understand you and I wanna keep it that way." He shrugs. "Plus I don't like humans." He states. "And don't ask me why."
"Why?" I ask.
He takes a deep sigh and continues his reading.
"We're not that bad." I state.
"'Not that bad'? Look where we are. This isn't fucking paradise." He raises his voice a bit for the first time.
"Not all of us are like them." I try to reason.
"You kidnap your own people, experiment on them and watch them die." He states.
"Again, not all of us are that evil." I state.
"The humans I have encountered were all like that." He states.
"How many people was that?" I ask.
"10." He says.
"Well, you can't define a whole species after meeting only 10 of them." I say.
"Yes I can and I did." He says reading his book further, trying to cut the conversation short.
"I don't like you either." I say under my breath.
"Good. The feelings mutual." He says.
"How did you hear that?" I ask whipping my head towards him.
Probably stupid super alien hearing or something.
He taps on his ear, "I can hear your heart rate."
Wow, well that's reassuring.
