The ceiling collapses and falls down all around me. I choke on all the dust and try to open my eyes to see what is happening. My body was still strapped in tight.
I could have yet again imagined it, but before I could fall into the darkness, I saw familiar green glowing eyes.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I am here Gaia.
I got you.
You are fine.
You'll be back home soon.
You don't deserve any of this.
You're a good human.
I will make sure you are okay.I snap my eyes open and scan my surroundings.
It's... my room?
I take another look and wipe my eyes to make sure I was awake.
It was.
Just then the bathroom door opens and a Nova walks out. She had on baggy clothes and she had bags under her eyes. Her hair was a mess and she looked much skinnier than last time I saw her. She finally looks up from her daze and meets my gaze.
She doesn't waste another second as she runs over to me and engulfs me in a hug. "Gaia. Gaia. Gosh I've missed you so much. I-"
I slowly hug her back. "Hi Nova." Unasure of what is real and not. "I missed you too."
"You look so tired and worn out. You lost alot of weight. You're so cold. Where have you been Gaia?" She asks pulling away, looking me over and sobbing as she does.
I panicked for a moment and slowly lifted my hand to my face. It was smooth unscarred skin. They were all gone. Almost as if it was all just a terrible dream. Was it?
I could tell her the truth, but that would either get her in trouble or she would think I am crazy. And I didn't have the power in me right now.
"No where important." I shrug, feeling a single tear roll down my cheek.
"You were gone for twelve days, Gaia. Where were you?" She asks pointing her finger at me.
"Just with a... friend?" I say more like a question, getting up from my bed. I felt almost normal. It was strange. Too strange. I lifted my shirt to check my stomach. There was a small scar, and I trace my finger over it, but instantly retract again when I felt an odd sensation.
"Hmm, who's this friend?" Nova asks suspiciously, not believing me.
"Cygnus." I state, walking over to my mirror and looking all over my body. My arm was healed all over as well.
"A guy? That's a weird name." She states to herself. "Is he real?"
I nod slowly.
"Please don't tell me you're pregnant." She exclaims. "Well, actually that would be cool..." She mumbles off. "I would be a cool aunt..."
If only you knew how close I was to being that and dead.
My eyes widen for a moment. "How did I get back here?" I ask looking back to her. She got up from the bed.
"Your parents told me some guy dropped you off... I don't know who." She says.
"Did they call you to tell you I'm here?" I ask her.
"No. I came by everyday just to check if you showed up and yesterday you finally did." She smiles a lopsided smile. I can see her tears fill up again.
I walk over to her and hug her. "Thank you Nova." I say tears leaving my eyes. "I wish I never left."
