"We're facing CIN tomorrow," Ashley said.
"That's right! We'll show him we're strong as well!" Ethan said determined.
"Most of us," Ryan's gaze flickered to Suzanne for a second and Ashley hit his hand.
"Ryan," she frowned. He looked away and he scoffed.
They were all seated on the black sectional sofas in Andrew's living room. Andrew's laptop was on the glass center table.
Suzanne wasn't bothered by Ryan's comment at all. She just sighed a bit.
"We'll rest today, but don't forget to practice individually. We've had enough practice as a team," Andrew said.
"Hey!" Ethan started, feeling annoyed. "You were always pushing us and now you want us to slack on the day before the due fight?!"
"No," Andrew shook his head calmly.
"What I'm saying is that we should also work on our individual skills. We've been training together all this while, and we all had to go the same pace but today you'll train on your own. You can train as hard as you want," Andrew said and paused.
Ethan's face lit up. He was already envisioning himself training through dangerous loops of fire, or running a thousand miles in an hour, or juggling flaming torches as he rode on a unicycle, or hitting five thousands punching bags till they were worn out.
"Or be as lax as you want," Andrew completed, his eyes drifted to Suzanne.
"That's enough." Ashley's tone was firm. She didn't like the way Ryan and Andrew referred to Suzanne as weak or incompetent.
Andrew rolled his eyes, "I was done."
Ryan stood up.
"I'll be back shortly, I'm going to the bathroom," he said and went to where the guest bathroom was located.
"That reminds me!" Ashley smiled as she dug into her bag, searching hurriedly, "I almost forgot to give you guys your cookies!"
"I'm glad you remembered!" Ethan's eyes lit up as he eagerly looked at her.
"You guys still eat cookies? What are you, four years old?" Anna scoffed from the doorway, which she leaned on.
Ethan sent a glare her way and his eyes raked over Anna's dressing. From her blazing red jacket, black pants and shiny red boots. His eyes went back to her amber-like eyes again.
"What was that kid?" He demanded getting up.
Anna chuckled...but not in the funny way, rather in an evil way.
Suzanne was starting to think Anna was maybe older than her age. The way she acted and all.
Anna also took a step towards him.
"I was asking if you still ate cookies, any problem?" Anna asked in a daring way.
She and Ethan stood closely now. Since Ethan was way taller than her, she jutted her chin up as she matched his angry stare with a scheming one of her own.
"Anna."
Andrew's voice made his sister snap her head in his direction.
"He started it!" She fumed childishly.
"Your lucky you're a kid or else I'd have dealt with you willy-nilly!" Ethan wagged a finger at her.
"Then I challenge you to a match, right here...right now." Anna stated looking Ethan in the eyes.
