It was night time now and Kye had disappeared into his room again, while Mason found himself seated in the kitchen trying to comprehend what had happened earlier still. His mind was on over drive, the inner workings of his brain unable to understand how he was feeling or what he thought. Resting his head in his arms, he let out a low sigh through his nose feeling completely disheveled.
He had the urge to go talk to Kye again, to tell him it was okay and that he would forgive him. That he didn't really care about the kiss and if they both said sorry it'd be fine. But he knew Kye wouldn't accept that, Kye wouldn't just roll over and be a good boy. It would be dramatic, Kye probably wouldn't even open his door for mason if he tried to talk to him. Raising his eyes, he looked to the doorway to see Kyes bedroom door through the living room that connected to the kitchen. Sighing, he rubbed roughly at his eyes not knowing what to do.
He was frustrated, confused and sort of pissed off by how Kye had man handled him earlier. How he over powered him, making him feel small and weak. He hated that, hated that it made him blush and hated how it kept playing on repeat in his mind. Hiding his face in his hands, he kept his eyes closed and grumbled. He had a bowl of cereal sat before him, having Been left til it became soggy from sitting in milk as he couldn't shake his thoughts. He'd lost his appetite, couldn't eat or drink all day, too many emotions were running through his body for him to even allow himself a mouthful. He knew that was unhealthy and he'd feel weak for practice the next day, but he couldn't bring himself to swallow.
Eventually he found himself standing by kyes very large door, stretching high above his head where he couldn't even reach the door handle even if he were on his tip toes. He hesitated, raising a hand to knock, but finding it hanging in the air before him. Mason didn't know what he would say, didn't know how he even felt in that moment to even say anything. He knew they couldn't live like this, hiding in their rooms and not speaking. Mason simply needed time to think and now he was ready to talk it out, it simply depended on whether Kye was willing to do the same.
Finally as mason knocked, he heard rustling and a gentle thud on the other side of the door as Kye moved around. Mason let out a shaky breath, giving another gentle knock once Kye didn't answer.
"Kye~ I need to speak to you" Mason bit his lip and found himself on his hands and knees, looking to the slither of the underneath of the door, waiting for kyes shadow to appear on the other side. Swallowing tightly when he didn't see or hear anything, he lightly rested his forehead against the door frame on his knees, "come on Kye, we need to speak.. maturely"
Sometimes being small really sucked, it was moments like these that mason really felt disadvantaged. He couldn't even reach the door handle for gods sake, couldn't walk in and consult his friend. The door was more than likely not even locked, Kye knowing mason was too tiny to even reach. Looking up, he eyed the door handle that was positioned high above and cursed he was born in a human body.
"Kye I know your in there~ please let me in" mason tried again, hopeful that Kye would be reasonable and actually come to open the door. Because they both knew that they'd have to approach this topic sooner than later, and mason was hoping to resolve this now.
Grunting when Kye didn't reply, he gave a kick at the door with the toe of his sneaker "Kye!" He snapped, groaning again when there wasn't a reply. Turning quickly on the heels of his shoes, he ventured about until he found a pile of book. He didn't waste time and moved to grab some, dragging them over to place at the foot of the door, stacking them til he had some what leverage to be able to stand upon so he could reach the precariously high door handle.
Clambering up, he got on his tip toes, the stack of books not very steady as he did so and nearly toppled over. But managing to keep his balance, he pulled down on the handle a few time before he heard the door clicking open. Smiling largely he went to push off, letting the door swing open slowly to reveal the inside of Kyes room. Kye was in his bed in a crumbled up ball beneath the covers.
